Most definitely. I was really blown away by that song, and the energy Al had during it. I've seen a few clips on youtube, but cameras really couldn't catch it. <3ToasterBoy @ Jun 18 2007, 07:39 PM wrote: Close But No Cigar live = AWESOME!
Duct tape is like the force.

Let's hope there's no spiders at the next show...Nezumi @ Jun 18 2007, 02:05 PM wrote: The curse wasn't broken!! The man choked on a fly!

Kayy911, sorry I didn't get to see you! Thanks to you and Al's #27 fan for your reviews and pics! They're great!
And it was nice meeting some of the other WOWAY fans.
I don't have a new camera yet and decided not to take one and just enjoy the show, but ran up to Wal-Mart and got a disposable one that morning since the pool wasn't open until 11 a.m. (I arrived at the resort around 4:00 p.m. Friday, since I flew part of the way). Saturday was mostly spent relaxing, reading a book (okay, there was some snoozing, too) in a lounge chair by one of the swimming pools. I was in the shade and I turned the chair to face the lake. Aaaah. It was lovely. People were there with their boats and water toys. Up to the right on the hill I could see the back of the stage frame that goes high up into the air. It was a really nice place to see the concert.
In the lobby display case, there was an 8x10-ish card announcing Al's outdoor concert June 16, (I asked if it was available, but they kept it) and in the Rock Cafe, one of the instruments on the wall was a red accordion
There was that one bill stuck to the machine before the show that you and Diva pointed out. It was just teasing me, wiggling up there in the breeze
That was as close as I got to one - hehe! Maybe that was the one you found?

Congratulations! You're a lucky lucky little girl! Sorta like finding the marble in the oatmeal!Squirrelygirl Posted on Jun 18 2007, 06:35 PM
I climbed back up that steep hill early the next morning looking for stray Yanko-bucks, and they had really cleaned up the place overnight! I did manage to find ONE way back under the bleachers, but man there was some gross stuff under there.![]()
But still, it was worth it!

"that" this board allows?

j/k
It was very cute how Al handled it.
Besides, Al broke the curse by singing Bob. He said so
That, and maybe tying down the screens really really well - hehe
There was one very nice security guy. He said he really enjoyed the show
If I remember the numbers right, I think he said the performer the night before ate at least 7 or 8 bugs. He also mentioned that the Friday night show was foul (my word, not his). Apparently some parents were really embarrassed to have their kids there (the resort was touting it was a comedy weekend, too).
I met that nice security guy before the show while looking for my seat and he, um, apparently remembered me from the trolley ride from the resort lobby
There, um, may have been a guy sitting behind me who was less than enthusiastic about working Al's show (he'd rather have been there the night before, blah, blah) and at one point I may have turned around and told him to be careful what he said because there were Al fans on the bus
Anyway, the nice security guy also let us stay a few extra minutes after the show to look for Yanko-bucks (thank you!) although one guy walking past did offer to sell one of his son's Yanko-bucks for $20
And I got to yell Hi to Steve and wave
Insert announcements...
Grant did great!
The audience really liked him! Laughter all around. And it was so funny when the lady in the front row said her name was Mary (fit perfectly for Debbie). And the chair bit already mentioned--cute! Thanks again for the autograph, Grant!
Insert announcements...
Fun Zone! And then...there they were, on the stage! Al and TBBITB!
They all looked marvelous! I have to say, most of Al's concert outfits are excellent! (luv luv luv the colors)
(don't know what to say about the fishnets and tutu, though
)
They were all in fine form! I also liked the new addition to the Yoda chant
Okay, so that was all mixed up, and it's full of smilies, but there was part of my review - hehe
Oh, yeah! The bbq! I met up with Diva at the bbq and we shared a table, keeping an eye out for Squirrelygirl and her hubby. A bee/wasp fell in love with my salmon and Diva's ice cream. Which was fine, until it brought a lot of it's friends back to dine, too!

If you had heard the announcer (never seen/heard anything like it), but if Al met with even half of the sponsors mentioned he'd have been there all night longOrthography Enthusiast Posted on Jun 18 2007, 06:57 PM
I promise I'll stop thinking about that "contractual obligations" line of bull soon...

I personally don't like that kind of talk. Please bite your tongue.Nezumi Posted on Jun 18 2007, 10:05 PM
