As a lot of us know by now, this show has been moved to the Coors Amphitheatre (and I'm sure the thread title will be changed eventually).
Interesting, the change in venue had nothing to do with Al, as the CityLights Pavilion reportedly cancelled their entire 2007 concert schedule due to a number of circumstances.
The "Rocky Mountain News" web site covers the story here. Al gets a passing mention as being on the schedule.
EDIT: I didn't realize this was already all posted on Yank Blog, so sorry for the repeat of news.

So I am tagging in to stay updated!

Got my tickets. The seats sound kinda sucky (section 101--the front Steve side section--row NN) but that's what you get when you're buying a 4 pack that late.
I am going to be taking my best buddy Heather who has never seen Al, but has wanted to do so in my company for sometime...and she is living in Denver now, so I have a free crash pad!

OK, evidently, Dave and I were the only WOWAYers to attend...though a few people did come up and introduce themselves to Dave (ha ha, I was talking to Jon at the time) I thought he said one of them was RKAudio, who is a name I remember but have not seen in a while. Oh well, maybe some old posters/newbies will tag in.
We initially had some issues getting the cameras in--Dave went to take a photo of the sign on the venue and security immediately told him that the camera needed to go back to the car. Dave told them we had backstage passes and we wanted the cameras for that. Eventually we got to the head of security who told us (very nicely, and professionally) that:
1. The artist would not allow cameras (sure)
2. If we took those cameras out backstage they would be confiscated and we'd be 86'ed.
Annoyed, we told Josh and Heather to go inside and wait for us, and we'd take the cameras to the car. Well, Dave must have looked aggravated enough that as we were walkingback, some guy all in black with and earpiece stopped him and asked what was up. Dave told him. This guy asked to see our cameras. They were ok with Dave's and groaned at mine--I told them it was a consumer level camera purchased at Target despite its overall appearance. I also told this guy I had photos on weirdal.com. Guy muses this a moment and then says something into his walkie-talkie and then says "These guys are OK. Go on inside." Head of security meet us back at the front of the line, apologizes (he was just doing what he was told) and lets us in.
OH...if you had a DISPOSABLE camera (which you could buy in the venue, how convenient!) those were OK. Their search was not all that great, either, as I did see a LOT of cameras in the audience and no one was stopping those.
I did not take photos during the show--we were pretty far back, I did nto want to push my luck, and I wanted to enjoy the show with Heather and Josh, since this was their first one. Josh is a big Al fan so he was pretty stoked. Heather is not so much, but she had a great time...and to my delight, the rotating original was WDTAHTM--Heather is a HUGE Ben Folds fan, and about half way through the song she leans over to Dave and goes "This totally sounds like Ben Folds." She was pretty impressed with the level of detail to the song ("Wow, even a little whiny and narcissic!")
Security followed Al VERY closely during WBUL--a bit more closely than he liked, apparently, because he made a move to return to the stage early--and then darted and RAN back up the aisle into the audience, leaving the security dudes behind him!
Albuquerque was a fairly straightforward reading tonight--pineapple and butterscotch donuts, but the whole litany of berry donuts was gone!
There were about 100 people for the official meet n greet, so we did get to chat with Jon and Steve a bit, and Dave spoke to this guy named Frank whose connection I forget, but Frank seemed as excited to meet Dave as Dave was to meet him. Al was sweet as ever, and asked Dave what he was doing so far from home!
Overall a good night--the Coors Ampitheater is a nie little venue, the rain held off (hooray!) and Denver is just gorgeous!
More later (where is everyone!) since I need to go get ready for work!!
