I'd say "slim to none"

(expensive as all get-out to transport the whole show to Hawaii, and is it likely there'd be an audience for more than one concert?)

However, when Al's not touring, your chances of catching a Jim "Kimo" West performance are excellent. :)
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

I am really surprised there was no July show set up for either Portlant Maine or Hampton Beach NH.

Maine.... still got none. I dont think one will magically show up in the small window of time Im in Maine either. Bummer!

Maine really is an overlooked state. It's a favorite state of mine, though. Simply beautiful.

If memory serves, his very first Maine show (am I correct?) was in 99--- Halloween night.

Needless to say--- it was THE AWESOME!

He came back for a July show for Poodle Hat. He usually does Hampton Beach shows twice a tour--- which makes it nice because it's reasonably close to us anyway.

I feel for you. Maybe I can Ask Al (he he, official Weird Al website humor) to put more tours in the overlooked states when I see him in Westbury on Long Island in NEW YORK, which has 3 CONCERTS! >:)

Seriously though, I don't get it. Musicians that are loyal to their fans do what they can to please those fans (just look at the Grateful Dead. Why would those Deadheads follow them if the band didn't care about the fans?). Al is one of those musicians. But he's overlooking 19 different states! Maybe he can change that when the next album comes around (*sigh* 2009 is too far away). At least 31 states are getting love.

Its not Al's fault--just vendors in the unfortunate states are not willing to spend that kind of money for Al. I think it'd be cool if Al had a tour with just him and the band--no fancy screens or costume changes just him and TBITB. It'd be called "Weird Al: Stripped Down" :P

Just a FWIW on NY...New York is a HUGE state. Those 3 shows are hundreds of miles apart.

Verona NY, is near Syracuse (more or less) and about 250 miles from Westbury. Albany is probably about as far north as Verona, but its also a hundred or so miles east of Verona!

In any case, if you live close to one of those venues, its unlikely you'll attend the other 2, unless you have a reliable car and a lot of free time. These venues are 3-4 hour drive away from each other.

I don't know what goes into setting up a nationwide rock show, so I have no idea why so many states are skipped this time around. I will say to be patient though, as its possible that more dates will float up as they are confirmed--that happens A LOT.

3-4 hour drives are normal, right? ;)

Where I live, if I want another show that isn't just in Omaha or Lincoln (because Nebraska usually only gets one show a tour) I have to travel 3-4 hours for another show.

Or even 8 hours or more if I have to...though opportunity came a knockin this time. I'm still hoping for a Nebraska show...come on, Al, give me a show where I don't have to travel those 3-4 hours to see you.

At least 31 states are getting love.

And 3 other countries!

Don't despair, we had to wait over 20 years for an Australian tour!

the venues have a lot to answer for. We had venues that Al used in 2003 not book him again for this tour - even though they were full last time.
