Unfortunately it doesn't look that way. When I last checked the venue's web site to update the Tourography, the normal ticket prices were being listed at $61.50 and $41.50.

The presale thing through Weirdal.com claims that one is only getting a discount on the convenience fee (and even then for this show it didn't look like much of one).

that's awful. I don't know where my 2000 ticket stub is, but I have my 1999 one right here and it was $30 even. I know Westbury Music Fair has a new owner now, but I don't see what justifies a 200% increase in ticket costs. Is this part of the Straight Outta Lynwood tour's doing, or the venue's?

I'm still holding out to see what shows are going to be filled in with those date gaps before making up my mind for sure. I'm not being cheap, I'm just on a really tight budget this year.

The price increase is likely due to a variety of factors...including this one:

In 1999, the price of gas was about $1.25 or so.

Today it is $2.25 (I filled up this morning)

That isn't quite double, but its close.

Well, haven't been on here for a while....

Anywho, I just got an email yesterday about this concert, and since I now have a job, I can pay for the tickets, so I asked my mom to order 4 tickets for me and friends while I was at school. A tad pricey, but, being my first Al concert, worth the price.

Just got my tics for the show!!!!!
Section A Row O Seat 1!!!

the best seats available were Row L, but they were 66.50, I got only 3 rows behind, and they were 46.50, so Im happy I got to pay 20 bucks less.

I got a pair of the $41.50 tix yesterday when they first went on sale, Section D, Row G. Shocked me because they were better than some of the $61.50 tix available.

I wonder what seats would have come up if the TM verification word was clear the first time. They used to be so much easier to read.

Anyways, it's been 4 years since I've seen AL (both 2003 shows in Westbury), so I'm looking forward to it.

See ya'all there :)

Did anyone here get to take advantage of the weirdal.com presale for this? How did it go? I'd like any details, so I know what to expect tomorrow when I try for the OC Fair shows.
This means something. This is important.

My first Weird Al show, I'm flying over from Ireland to be there. Family think I'm nuts, but then they're probably right :P .My younger brother is grateful though. He's travelling to a concert in Portrush (about 150 miles away and in Northern Ireland) and they reckoned he was wasting his money doing so.

Flying to New York for a concert beats that any day.

Wow! Well, that'll remind me not to complain about the traffic between New Jersey and New York to get to this show...

El - we didn't take advantage of the presale (because of the 4-ticket limit on it) so I can't speak to it specifically for this, but I've had good luck with them for other events in the past.

You won't be saying that as you sit stuck in beach traffic on the Long Island Expressway on a weekend in the summer. X*
