Actually, that code is the Konami Code, famous for it's appearance in the classic game Contra where it gave the player 30 lives with which to beat the game.

I know that the following are not easter eggs, but did anyone notice that the keyboard player in Virus Alert is Ron Mael from the band Sparks? Also, Ron's keyboard has the name Goom on it, which is actually 'Moog' ( a brand name of a 70's keyboard) spelt backwards!
