Al's Shirts
We all know Al wears Hawaiian shirts, but what fabric, I suppose, are they made from? A few of them (UHF deleted scenes commentary, for example) look silky, and others look cottony (WAY: Live's first few songs).
My question is - does he wear silky shirts, or are they all cotton? Before you all rip into me, let me just say I know nothing about Hawaiian shirts, so I'm forced to ask.

I'd say there's a pretty wide variety, considering many of them have been given to him by venues he's played at and by fans.

It's not a stupid question. The one I gave him was a poly/cotton blend. Which I would imagine most of them are. Cotton is most comfy, but a pain when you are living out of a suit case. Literally.
Sorry, I just rewatched AL-TV
The shiny one in the UHF outtakes is most likely polyester. Some are probably rayon.

Hey! I gave him that shirt.
Uh...but I don't remember what kind of fabric it was....a couple different kinds, I think. It was a pretty heavy shirt.
