I never thought of it that way... in the comments on the second one, they said Debbie looked like Kat. Kat came in second on American Idol

Wow! I hadn't thought of it as being Katherine McPhee. That actually makes a lot of sense and it makes the video that much funnier.

Didn't Kat actually work at Starbucks before AI, or am I making that up?

That wasn't that bad. It beat DDTS and Pancreas anyday. Aw, Heck! It beat CBNC too!

It seemed like Al had a lot of power over this. Debbie lived in Room 27, Al was 6 feet tall, and he ended up in Lynwood County Correctional Facility.

Either that, or the people at JibJab are really good researchers (or Al fans).

When I go to the site, it loads a short commercial clip and than stops after that. I can't get the video even after I click to start up the player. I was able to finally watch it after closing and reopening the page several times.

Yes, I had the same thing happen a few days ago. I was wondering about that commercial clip.

I also wonder if that JibJab "Weird Al" account is really Al. Something tells me it isn't. For one, Al woud certainly know how to spell "Beverly Hills" (instead of Bevrly Hills), and he'd also know the title of the song is not "I'm Fat" but just "Fat".

If that was the intended reference, then it does indeed make the video better. I think they could have made it a bit more obvious if they wanted Debbie to reference Katharine. It really doesn't look very much like her at all.

If it was supposed to be someone else, why would the name on Al's leg be Debbie? Debbie's not in the actual song, so they could've carved any name on Al's leg there.
