Mine says the same error, but it still plays it. You can download plugins for the missing codecs (http://www.leadcodecs.com), but that's strange that even the most recent one isn't playing it.

Are you using a windows xp? Media player classic and ffdshow is what I use.

Might I recommend that everyone follow that link above to get VLC Player, which has nearly every codec imaginable preinstalled.
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.
