I did search before I posted this, and didn't find anything for Slate--I realized AFTER posting that the "MSN" topic was the same article. It came to me as a forwarded email from a friend who reads Slate regularly. I don't.

I'm sorry to have cluttered up the list with an extra topic, so if it needs to be locked or merged, then so be it.
