Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

What good would that do? It won't make them mean it. I'm too afraid to listen but they sound like real jerks. Surch a tragic thing...

did interviews as a journalist, and her insistence that it's the job of the journalist to ask such questions is appalling and stupid. That's the worst kind of tabloid, idiotic "reporting" that should really get you punched in the face. There's a difference between asking challenging and interesting questions and asking questions about something very painful and private for NO REASON WHATSOEVER.

While I haven't listened to the interview yet (been too happy with SOL and don't want to be brought down by a bad interview) and asking stupid questions is not a good thing for a interview. In interviews, you're already suppose to know 60% of the answers. I've always been told while interviewing if there's a bad subject to touch and the subject is down...back off immediately and change the subject.

I dunno about asking questions you already know the answer to -- certainly when I do interviews, I read other interviews first and try to ask questions that haven't been BEATEN SAVAGELY TO DEATH BY THE REST OF THE JOURNALISM WORLD (like, really, "What happened with "You're Pitiful"?" would be the most boring question in the universe to ask Al).

But I wouldn't touch on anything that would be off limits, and clearly this is off-limits.

And her phrasing was "hard-hitting, incisive" questions or something like that. Clearly she didn't say "STUPID questions", even though they were pretty stupid.

Oh, I know, but I've been told time and time by professors that is so you are listening more to the persons answers and are able to ask follow up questions on what they say instead of being so focused on asking the next question.

That is what I get for being a broadcast major.

I'm not even going to try to describe the horrendous hacks these people are.

Let us all be glad that they're stuck in some dead end DJ job.

No offense to radio people out there

EDIT: Sorry, did a search and found nothing. Mod/Admin please close

We've already got a topic on the interview here, if you'd care to direct your discussion this-a way: forum/index.php?showtopic=5570

We had a nice long discussion about these brain-dead troglodytes quite recently. I refuse to listen to the interview, but from what I heard, it was disgusting. Why Al didn't just end the interview right there is beyond me.

Mods, if you can link this to the other thread, I'd really appreciate it, as I'm not sure how. Thanks bunches!

EDIT- Thanks Grom! You must have posted while I was typing.
Hmmm...something's gone horribly awry here...

Yeah, let's try to get this one out of here. I'm trying to erase it from my memory permanently.

More of Al's fans are there for him...

Even on the cartoon message board ToonZone, they have a thread about it. http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=176420

Nice to see a board where NOT ONE PERSON said "Oh, it was sooo funny! Rover makes me ROTFLOL!" <_<

Thanks for the link, Jace. I'm still disgusted that this ever happened, but it's good that so many people are willing to stand up for what is right.
