I vote for sinus or tension. I can't imagine that Al wouldn't have had to cancel concerts semi-regularly if he were subject to migraines. Everybody I know who gets them winds up flat on their backs in a dark room.Squirrelygirl @ Oct 1 2006, 01:17 AM wrote: That's just my wild guess. It could also be a sinus headache, but he said here comes the headache almost like he was expecting it from a prodrome. Tension headaches would tend be towards the neck and/or shoulders.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

*migraine sufferer raises hand*
I do have to go someplace dark if I get one, but I haven't had to deal with any lately. Hopefully, it was a tension headache. (not that I want Al to suffer, it's just that a tension headache is much less painful than a migraine) All that shouting may have set it off. I do hope he can do that song in concert, because I really like it.
I give the in the studio stuff an A++!

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

Just love it.
My signature is what I've always dreamed of!
Well, not really...but it's good enough for now.

I personally enjoyed this bit. I was grateful to get any glimpse of Al working in the studio. Could there have been more to it? Of course. But I really enjoyed what we were given. I found it really interesting to see some of the recording process. To be able to put a visual with some of the music really gave me a better perspective on what really goes into creating an album.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

I think this video was awesome!!
As an editor myself, I can tell Al really really spent a lot of time on this one. I wouldn't complain about its length- its very well made. The detail of the flow of the piece, how it moved from song to song, and how well the music and videos were matched up, Al is not just an amazing musician- he is also an amazing director/editor! And, of course, the last few seconds of the video are so precious!!!! The video really had a solid foundation/concept, so Al- since you read these forums lol- I applaud your work! Good job!

Seeing Nina at the end literally made me squeal. XD Which was bad, considering that Ramsey was sitting right by me and jumped. Hahaha.
I really liked how candid it was. I was expecting something staged, but was pleasantly surprised by what it ended up being. =]

Probably the shouting set the headache off. He probably did multiple takes to get the vocals down, but I was really worried about what he was doing to his vocal cords, especially since he'd once said he's not really a trained singer. Does Al have something like a voice coach? If he does ISY live, I see it as toward the end of the set.
Easily my favorite video on the CD.

Hmmm...something's gone horribly awry here...
