Look like Al will be on the show tomorrow (Monday.) If anyone records this, please let me know. Thanks.
Bob & Tom Show.
Straight Outta Lynwood
For over twenty years, no musician or music style has been safe from the king of pop music parodies, Weird Al Yankovic. From the classic hits of Michael Jackson to his most recent target, Eminem, Yankovic has made a career out of takeing mainstream music and replacing the original words with his own twisted lyrics. This month, Weird Al released his 12th album, Straight Outta Lynwood, which skewers musicians like R. Kelly, Green Day, Usher and even American Idol winner Taylor Hicks. The two disc set also includes a behind the scenes documentary, six new music videos and instrumental mixes of every song.
FACTOID "Weird Al" got his start in the music industry by sending in self-recorded songs to the Dr. Demento Show. After gaining a cult following, he released his first self-titled album in 1982.
bad news: I don't know any sites that stream the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom show
good news: I can easily set up a scheduled recording thanks to my super-awesome iaudio x5's built in radio recording function (and a local station here happens to have the bob and tom show)
sort of good news: if nobody records it, Bob and Tom occasionally have their premium content (archived shows) avaliable for free.
so, looks like I've got two radio shows tomorrow (both morning shows, Al sure is a busy guy!) to record.
EDIT: looks like he's the ONLY guest. I expect a long interview.
Well here I am in Indianapolis where WZPL (Smiley show) and Bob and Tom are located. Al is on not one but two Indy radio shows tomorrow! Does this mean Al is in town? Anyhow if the Bob and Tom show is an actual in studio they have a studio cam for a small fee. (located on their home page) Both of these stations are very close (minutes) from where I live. It would seem that these would be phone interviews but if he is on two local radio shows (Bob and Tom is also syndicated nationally I think) he could be making a rare visit to IN. I actually know two people at WZPL. I also did a job shadow at WFBQ which is where the Bob and Tom show originates out of. I just wish I had a way to record these interviews. What a shame I will miss all of this unless they happen to be on 7-8am. I might call the station tomorrow am and find out what time he is scheduled to be on.
BTW the B & T show is on 6a-10a same as Smiley on WZPL.
It is an honor though to know that Al's first two SOL radio interviews are out of Indianapolis radio stations! I hope they remember that when setting tour dates.

I forgot they had an in studio cam! (and odds are, Al will be in-studio. especially with two shows in the same city)
the fee is 1.25 per week if anyone wants to pay for a week. this will give you access to the cam (which would hopefully be recorded) and the show archives (to download the interview)
I'll be recording my local Grand Island, NE station that airs the Bob and Tom show. Unfortunatly I don't want to shell up the buck 25 to record the cam. maybe someone else can do that? (pretty please? )
Hey- I got confirmation that Weird Al is in Indy today! Wow I wish he was making a public appearance somwhere...I live about 15 min from The Bob and Tom Show and even closer to the Smiley Morning show.. I would record the cam but alas I will be at work and I have dial up lol. Can't wait to hear these clips.

I listen to Bob and Tom on the way in to work. When they announced that Al would be there in a few minutes, I hurried in to work in hopes that I could record the internet stream. It was a pretty good interview. Bob and Tom (for the most part) knew what they were talking about, so the uncomfortable moments were kept to a minimum. Heywood Banks was in the studio too. It was pretty funny when Al apologized to Heywood for taking the credit on mislabled songs such as "Toast".
