Well, yesterday I was browsing the WFMU website and discovered they interviewed Al in 2003. No time machine? You can listen to it here! It's pretty interesting. Al talks about his rise to fame, growing up in Lynnwood, and his (at that point in time) new album Poodle Hat! He even mentions the origin of the title Poodle Hat! Besides that he doesn't say much, but it's just a cool interview. Oh, and WFMU is freeform, wich means, among other things, they don't have commercials, so it's a full hour!

And for all of you who are on the Weird Al fast, they play Bob, Couch Potato and Genius in France.

5 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!

I didn't think that man could get any cooler, but he just did. I always had a huge amount of respect for Al when I learned he turned down that offer to do the beer commercial because of his young fans, but....WOW! He has morals of steel. He said the offer was made in the late 80's early 90's, and that he never knows what he might be doing in the future, $5 million would have set him and his family up for life....just, wow
The tsunami of immediacy will wash away the flood of grief, and reveal a layer of naive optimism underneath

That's a really good interview. I say good for Al for sticking to his guns. Turning down that amount of money had to be difficult, but it just goes to show that his morals are more important to him than money.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Yeah, definitely. I've said it before and I'll say it again... Al's such a doll, haha.
