Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

I'm just getting sick in general of these little backhanded compliments that writers feel the need to stick in Al-related reviews. It's like they're thinking, "Hm, I can't just praise something Weird Al has done outright. I'll make a crack about his hair or a song from twenty-two years ago. That'll save my street cred."

We have a right to be annoyed with these journalists. They keep making the same assumptions. Al's hair is not, nor has it ever been jheri-curled, and I don't have to like it when someone says it is!

That does not mean we're not friends, it just means a lot of us really feel for Al when we see things like this.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Did anybody else have the reaction I did when Al & the band did Yoda (his 'easiest booking! :D)... that is, a sudden rush of recognition at finally seeing the "real" Al?

I guess that with all of these problems it's actually kind of good that I decided to wait a little bit before getting the WAS DVD.

Hi everyone,

Guess what? I finally heard back from someone at Shout Factory regarding the defects we discovered during the "Competition" episode from disc #3. I received an email response from someone named "Stefan" who basically said they will fix the defects and eventually will include the newly repaired disc in future released sets. In the meantime, Shout will send me a new DVD once the fixed ones become available. I urge everybody to contact them and ask that they replace your defected copies as well. I don't know how long it will take before the repaired discs become available, but at least they are going to do something about it. Isn't this terrific news?? Yaaaaaaay!!!!! :D

Hey everyone.

Just wanted to let you all know that after watching the Aussie release of TWAS, I can confirm that the glitch with disc 3 isn't there, so I'd say the U.S. replacement discs won't be far off.

Cheers.

I'm finding that TWAS really is full of moments that I love. Like in the Talent Show episode, when Al tells his mom about the melting of the ice-sculpture prize and she just has one right there in a bag... deep in our hearts we all hope (or used to hope) that if we took our problems to Mom she'd solve them for us. And she does. What makes it really funny is that it's done with absolutely NO setup or dramatic build-up. Al tells her about the problem and she fixes it, no fuss, no waiting.
