Al And Muppet Babies

Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

I have quick question hopefully someone here can help with…Was any of Al's songs or videos ever used on the show Muppet Babies?

I noticed that many online database sites (like the ever uncredible imdb.com) list an Al related trivia note that I'd like to know a bit more about (like if it's true). Listed on the TV show Muppet Babies the story goes that "in the credits of one episode, Weird Al Yankovic's name was misspelled as Weird Al."

Sounds plausible, but I scanned WeirdAl.com and did a few google searches and couldn't find any record (other then the unspecific trivia note of a misspelling in the credits) that Weird Al (or any of his songs or videos) were involved with Muppet Babies. Now I know Al was never on the show, but was one of Al's songs or videos used in an episode of Muppet Babies? If so, what was used and in what episode? Oh, and was his name actually spelled wrong when credited? Sadly the information avalible on the internet about specific Muppet Babies episodes is pretty limited right now.

I'm just wondering if there is any truth to this or if these online databases just have their facts wrong (which would not be a first) about Al being in the credits for a Muppet Babies episode.

Can anyone shed some light on this. Thanks :D

There's a thread on the Muppet Forum that mentions Muppet Babies used a clip from Al's "Eat It" video.

I couldn't find anything further.

You know what? I used to watch Muppet Babies, and I vaguely remember this. I couldn't tell you what episode it was or how it was used, but it seems to ring a bell.

Well, that's not a mispelling. Unless you mispelled what you read. It's a bit funny that it says "Weird Als name was mispelled as Weird Al".

Weird User, BradFraggle-- that's an automatic filter on the forum, haha. "Wi.erd" and "Yankovic.h" are both changed automatically into the correct spellings when you post them.
