I was unfortunately not at this concert, but several family members and friends went. Apparently, the opening act didn't show up, so Al performed 3 or 4 extra songs! Supposedly, they went out there, performed a little bit, and then started the normal concert. Unfortunately, my family members are having severe memory lapses, so I haven't found out exactly what songs they were... Dad said "the one that sounds like Bob Dylan" was played, and my brother said that there 2 medleys instead of just the normal 1. I'm still working on finding out what the rest was.
Apparently Al was on the radio quite a bit too. The pop radio station sponsoring the show had a phone interview with him, and played some songs on the air. My brother (a different one) said that Al was very funny on the spot.
And he was mentioned a few days after the show - apparently on his day off between Portland and Hampton Beach, Al checked out a local band's concert, and the dj from the rock station was there and saw him. He commented that Al had on sunglasses, as if no one would recognize his hair. He also said that he thought Al was a cool guy.

Oh wait! I just figured it out! When Al had the fight with the stool, it was his literal interpretation of Take Me Down. Cool! Performance Art.
I just hope he didn't bruise anything important.
If he did bruise anything, I'm fairly sure it would fall within your definition of "important," considering the appreciation you've expressed before for Al's silver-clad... assets.
I guess that would make them appreciated assets.
