Well, here is something positive: I just ordered myself a Spatula City t-shirt. I've been meaning to do that for a while now. I finally had the fundage. It'll be a nice treat when it comes in the mail.

:D
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I went to a drive in on Saturday, and when I went to the lobby Another One Rides the Bus started playing!

I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY... I AM FED UP WITH PPL THINKING IF A SONG IS FUNNY, IT'S AUTOMATICALLY BY AL. I KNEW PPL COULD BE STUPID, BUT, WOW.

http://free.house.cx/~eil/etc/notal_list.html

I RECENTLY DID A SEARCH ON "Myspace Videos" FOR AL AND 3/4 OF THE 1ST TEN PAGES WERE NOT BY AL...

wow... all in 6 pages... each page has 10 vids....3/5 vids were not all.... 60/100....

 I just don't get it.... how do you guys feel about this??

oh, p.s. : I bet you half the vids I posted up there were either "Ugly Girl" or "The Beer Song"....

Totally random Weird Al encounter on the web.

This web site is so cute. I definitely recommend following their Krispy Kreme odyssey.

it's annoying, but you can usually tell simply by the title that a song isn't Al. "My Grandpa Is A Pornstar" By Weird Al....I don't think so, we alll know Al's songs are family oriented, and any inuendo isn't quiet that obvious.

Then there's always
The Not Al Page, but if the song isn't on there and you're confused about whether it's Al or not, ask around here

I know many of you know where I'm coming from here, but sometimes it's pretty futile to try and tell people that it isn't Al. I tried to set the record straight on YouTube on this Barney's on Fire video, and even spelled Al's name right, but they just shot me down, telling me that it's just a flash movie, and even spelled Al's name wrong AGAIN, saying that he indeed sang the song. I thought about posting again on that video and linking to the Not-Al Page, but they still probably wouldn't believe me. I also thought about saying that if I got something wrong about THEIR favorite artist, they would probably get all in a huff, too, but again, I don't think it's worth it.

I know I'm probably taking it too seriously, but it gets so frustrating, trying to stand up for your favorite artist, and realizing there's nothing really that you can do to get some people to believe the truth. I feel almost as though I'm letting Al down in a way, by not standing up for him to the bitter end, but one can only say something so much before people start ignoring you altogether. And that makes me kind of sad. :(

I know what you mean. It's like talking to a brick wall.

Here's some very cute Al Blather news: I just went over the the Yahoo group known as Weird Al's Stupid Club. I found a message there about a thank you note sent from Al, Suzanne and Nina! It came three years after we sent them a package, but you gotta remember that slow mail thing. Anyway, back in 2003, a group of us Stupids sent a package to Al and family with clothes for Nina, and a few other nice gifts *I sent a yellow dress with matching socks :)* I can't show the scans of the envelope or the note, because they are in the photo section of the group, but I can tell you that Al was very grateful for our gift, and said he appreciated it. It was signed by Al, Suzanne and Nina, sort of. There was a little drawing on the note, with a description, written by Al, of the drawing. It said "a turtle, a worm, and a raindrop, with an ant inside of it" - Nina.

hehe! I thought that was really sweet!

Oh, yeah, there was also a drawing of Al, done by Al, on the note!

when the TWAS DVD comes out, will people have to remove the episodes that they have put up on YouTube etc for download....It is fine now because you can't buy it, but once the DVD is released it would be like HOOLIGANing a song...

Also, I was just surfing YouTube and I found a video for IAATP. Someone had just taken the footage from the Live! DVD [there's at least 2]....that can't be allowed, can it?
