Sounds like the commentary is gonna be awesome. Good review, I enjoyed reading it. Overall, I agree that show was pretty bad. I'm not that surprised that it only lasted one season. It had it's moments, clearly the best of the educational shows CBS had on at the time (Cyber Lucy, anyone?), but it was pretty obvious what segments were "Al's" and what segments were was being required by the network to meet the educational requirement.

I don't remember the Radish song being :censored: on the original run. But I could always check on that.

I love DVD commentaries, and Al did a great job on the UHF one and on the music video ones (on the Weird Al Live DVD) so I'm excited to hear that these are great too. Can't wait to hear Emo Philips too. In fact, I could probably go another few months without a new album as long as I get this DVD.

I think , when you buy it at weirdal.com , it should be autographed by AL. This to make it SPECIAL.

Al and the band don't send the orders, so it'd kinda be pointless to send Al the product then he sends it back to the shipping company then they send it to the person who ordered it.

But then every copy in the world (including the copies you'd buy at Wal Mart or something) would have the autographs... But true, that is possible...

I just checked; there are (at least) two instances in which the vocals cut off even though the singer's mouth is still moving. You can still hear the instruments though.
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

Radish's Pink Little Stars does feature lyrics that really aren't apropriate on a kiddie show (No swears, but stuff like I want to touch you....which let's face it, isn't extremly dirty like "Hitting on the queen" or anything :P )

Hey....aren't radishes and little pink stars in bowls of Lucky Charms? :P

(By the way....Radish was fronted by Ben Kweller, friend and collaborator of future Al Pal Ben Folds ;) )
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?
