 I love this! The past few years have probably proved to be some of the best years in getting some awesome stuff from Al! We've gotten UHF, Poodle Hat, Ultimate Videos, the upcoming 12th album, the Weird Al Show FINALLY being released...honestly you guys...Al knows what the fans are saying. Whether or not what we say on this forum has anything do with what he decides, I can't say. But, I betcha that every member on this forum would say that they would love to see another Weird Al Live DVD. Maybe we should keep this topic of a new Live DVD commonly mentioned and brought up...Al will hear and maybe some people in big places will too. It isn't a far bet that his popularity could support another one. |)

i was watching WAY Live! yesterday and i noticed a pretty bad continuity error during SLN, i was actually surprised a hadn't noticed it before. I don't remember who it was that made te DVD, but this error is pretty poor, seeing as there was at least 4 cameras filming the show, and it's highly unlikely that at that moment in time they all had bad footage. The only logical reason that my friend and i came up with was that Al was doing something rude/offensive and they weren't allowed to put it on the DVD, but that's highly unlikely too

i'm sure i'm not the first person to notice this but i couldn't be bothered to check

What you're seeing in SLN is a change in layer -- it happened when the DVD was created. On the old VHS tape, there's no interruption.
This means something. This is important.

:^) that would explain it then....it's weird that there's no interruption in the audio though...

What part of SLN were you talking about, Emily? Al really wouldn't do anything bad or offensive during a show...

the part where he gargles....we see Al pick up the water the water and drink some, then, without putting the water down, he's turned around "playing" the guitar, then he's back at the mic with the water in his hand....but like weird el said, it's probably the DVD changing layers if it doesn't happen on the VHS

and i honestly don't believe Al would do anything rude or offensive at a show

Ah, yeah, the Gargle part... I believe that actually has been mentioned earlier in this topic... But yeah, like Weird El said, it's a layer change... I guess the camera men didn't get any good angles of when Al was gargling from Bermuda's view.

It has nothing to do with cameramen and angles--it's just the way the DVD is manufactured. Most layer changes are a lot less obvious than that but for whatever reason, Live! has a pretty poor one.

And really, if you have a fairly newer player, more times than not you won't even notice the layer change.
