Aww...Thanks.

The accordion isn't Al's: I couldn't find a picture of his accordion by itself. And this one was a little bit cut off, so I had to recreate it a little. I also didn't know what to replace the flowers with.

Nice job, Al's #27 fan! The accordion looks cool, too... Even if you had to recreate the little bit.

A few years ago, All Things Yankovic had an April Fool's joke that purported to be the press release for an upcoming compilation, "The Weird Al Yankovic AnthALogy". Of course, this was all a joke, but it intrigued me enough that I actually compiled the album down to the letter (except for the final song on the tracklist, which didn't actually exist). Also, I had to shift the tracks, because the listed CD's were impossible - one was over 100 minutes long! It needed artwork, so I tracked down the right fonts and everything to match the Beatles' Anthology, and made these:

This is taken from the "Anthology" song book, of course.

BACK: http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/7240/anthal23bj.jpg
Unfortunately, I lost this in a computer crash, so I had to scan the version I already printed. (The scan was really poor... note how off-centered the picture is. The real thing is fine.) I am very frustrated about losing it, because I to position all the numbers INDIVIDUALLY!!

The fake article also noted that the release of the compilation would be tied into with a new single of "Yoda". I made a cover for that one too:

FRONT: http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/8632/anthal32tp.jpg
This photo comes from "The Authorized Al."

BACK: http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/5337/anthal42nm.jpg
I really went for detail here... if you can read the print on the bottom, I even put copyright information for the original tracks and everything! I don't remember the source of the background, but it was a really cool picture of bubbly mud.

If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll scan the "AnthALogy" CD's... sticking with tradition, one of them even has an "Al's face" gag on it!

That's really great and it would fit perfectly in this topic. Great work!

That is absolutely amazing, and perhaps the best parody cover I've ever seen.

Really great, The Lazenby! I love that Yoda pic from The Authorized Al.

:D
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Yeah. Hey, someone should do a Survivor poll for Parody Album Covers and then stop running it in the middle of its run and let it sink to the bottom of the forum
