Hello,

We have a topic for Parodies You've Made, we have a topic for the WOWAY tribute Album, so I thought I would take it up a notch and make Tributes You've Made. This topic is for Weird Al tribute songs you've made. These tributes do not necessarily have to be for the WOWAY tribute Album, they can be for Weird Al Tribute, to post here for fun, etc.

A tribute song can be anything that has do with Al. A cover of an Al song, a parody of an Al song, an original song about Al, a song parody about Al, pretty much anything that has to do with Al.

I'll start with my Weird Al tribute songs. Okay, you all know that I make song parodies, but I'm also a self proclaimed Weird Al tribute artist. I'm on My, Myself, and I. I also host the Weird Al tribute database, which is linked above.

You can hear my tributes Here

My tributes include:

The Dr. Demento 35th Anniversary Song (a 20th anniversary cover of the Anniversary Song by Barnes and Barnes with Al)

School Cafeteria (Cover)

My Bologna (Original Bathroom Version cover)

Biggest Fan (an Original about Al)

I also have an MP3 of me singing Since You've Been Gone to Al's karaoke track, and a few MP3s of me singing Al songs at a karaoke bar

These songs are just the beginning, I plan to make many more Weird Al tributes.

Now for my NEW AL TRIBUTE!

My 30th Anniversary remake/cover of Belvedere Cruisin!

Belvedere Cruisin' (30th Anniversary Remake)

This is a 30th Anniversary remake of Belvedere Cruisin'. Belvedere Cruisin' debuted on the Dr. Demento show on March 14th 1976.

Belvedere Cruisin' (30th Anniversary Cover)

This is an accordion version.

I'm sending these to Dr. Demento, hopefuly he'll play one around the anniversary. I'm also going to E-mail the links to Bermuda. Bermuda and Al have heard, and like my tributes!

- Matt

PS. This thread can also be for other kinds of Al tributes. Feel free to post lyrics, too.

Love your updated version of the classic song that made Al decide not to be an Architect and start Yankovic Homes. :P haha... Yankovic Homes... *starts laughing uncontrollably*

Seriously, though. I love how Belvedere Cruising sounds. Great job! A+

Both versions sounded great, but I prefer the accordion version. Great job, Matt!

:D
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I loved Belvedere Cruisin'!

On a side note, if I were to cover say, Dare To Be Stupid, when I get my new computer in a few months, is it okay to use the instrumental from the Amish Paradise single for the music? Like, is it legal?
Begone, foul beast!
