with WBUL and OMM, it works really well, because in WBUL he goes down the right side of the audience, and with OMM he goes down the left, so he gets to see everyone, that doesn't seem like something he would get rid of.
Actually, from my observations (approximately 35 shows between RWS and PH) , what side of the audience he'll go up during OMM or WBUL is a little random--it depends on the set up of the venue, how easy it is to do, etc...I've seen him go right, left, come down the middle (and back) depending on the specific stage set up. Sometimes he'll go up one side of the audience, cross the auditorium and go back to the stage down the other side. I have been to a few venues with barriers between, say, the orchestra section and the rest of the seats and seen him do his thing atop the barrier.

I would say that there is absolutely no way Couch Potato is leaving the set list this soon. I'd have to go back and look at all the past set lists to be certain, but I don't know that he's ever blown off the lead parody of the previous album on a new tour.
Actually, I kinda had enough of Trash Day. I'll assume that the polka, PATLC, Melanie, DED, and Horoscope will be replaced, probably with newer songs.
Agreed on all counts...

I also agree that Jackie is pretty much right on as to what will be disappearing from this next setlist. I would also guess that "Trash Day" will either get dropped or pushed into the medley, but I think it might all depend on what Al plans to do with "Pentiums." It seems as if keeping both in the first half of the setlist as full-length numbers would be a bit of a rap overkill, especially if the genre gets targeted again on Album 12. IMO, if I had to choose to keep one or the other, I'd keep "Pentiums" as it was easily the bigger hit.
I'm going to be bold and also say we possibly won't see WBUL, either, despite its fan-favorite status. "Germs" was also usually well-received by fans (particularly female fans), but it didn't survive past "Touring with Scissors."
Probably the only thing that would save WBUL is if Album 12 does not have a new original on it that would allow for a similarly interactive or physical performance.
Im thinking WBUL will probably be dropped just for length. It isnt much longer than most songs, but that extra minute or two could mean another song squeezed in. Although it would be nice to get rid of OMM for a little while. And I really hope that they dump some of the newer songs in favor of some older things. It was a nice surprise to see Melanie and MFN/BH in the last tour. Maybe some more things from the 80's can resurface.

He seems to enjoy performing style parodies of artists who have a very distinct "look" that he can parody on stage, like Devo and Talking Heads. Maybe he'll do "Mr. Popeil" and go for the B-52s look. The only problem is that the subject of the song is a little outdated.
