Silly question, but better safe than sorry:
May I have more than 8 pages in my booklet?
Cane and Rinse: weekly thoughtful video game discussion. Give it a listen, won't you?

For personal reasons that I won't get into, beavis will have an additional hour to work on the task.

What Driew said. :Y

Beavis, before we start, you didn't submit a press release. Do you have one ready? If so, you can post it in this thread.

Ok. Make sure it gets posted ASAP. Here's everything else that was turned in:
iisryan27 wrote: Press release:
Coming soon from Paramount: The Complete Series of the Weird Al Show! Aired on CBS in 1997, this wonderful show starring "Weird Al" Yankovic ran for one season, and it's all here!
"[Al and I] are so happy this is finally being made!" said Jay Levey, Weird Al's manager. "Fans mailed in so many letters, I'm just shocked that Dick Clark Productions made it."
Al has personally looked deep in his garage and found some Weird Al Show DELETED SCENES, which are included in the two disc set, never before seen. Also, exclusively made for this set is the "Boarded Up on the Wall" documentary, which looks at the (you guessed it) Man Boarded Up on the Wall and the show through his perspective. "He was my personal favorite character", Levey says, "and I loved every second of this feature." John Tesh narrates the wild look at the Mysterious Man.

Also included are extended, studio re-recordings of the  Fred Huggins songs with their respective videos, a short by Al himself called "Getting Into Character", interviews with the Cast, and Games/Trivia! This is a collection that you won't want to miss.

I had just finished copying it when you posted that.

Driew wrote: Well if I'm basing my judgement on content, Ryan's doesn't do it for
me. Personally I'm not judging his task on his photoshopping skillz.
So on content I think it lacks some strength. So here's my
thoughts.

Cover: For the front cover, I think it's "okay" his other idea for the
cover was a lot better, IMHO. I see no reason to have a widescreen
version of the show, to me it shows some stupidty, plus there wasn't
that much more work to change it, change the color of the filter and
write "widescreen". Also on the front of the cover there should've
been some writing about what the show actually is. Sure there's
pictures in the background, but it seems too empty for me. It doesn't
look like a DVD you'd actually buy at a store. Granted its put
together nicely, but it lacks content.

Back Cover: Very dull to me. There's some writing on the back, but
again it doesn't look like something you'd actually see at a store.
It should've been split up so that you could easily tell which was
which. Also if I wasn't a fan I wouldn't even KNOW what the show
was about. All it says is the special features. An explanation of
the show would've been very helpful. Again I think he spent too much
time on the collage and such, and not enough on the content.

Press Release: Nothing to say about it. Its good.

DVD Covers: If by dvd covers you mean the discs themselves, I don't
see how they're THAT good. I think his team and him could've done a
little bit more with it to make it look good....

Print Ad: This was good, because in a magazine ad you DON'T want a lot
of content, you want it to be precise, which is Ryan's specialty. So
for once, Ryan's lack of content helped him. But there ARE some
negatives to it. For instance, the terminology used isn't right. For
example, "All of the episodes". This should be "The Complete Season,
all 14 [I hate 14! :P] episodes!" Again as with all of his stuff, it
seems like its missing stuff, like um.....I don't know, when the darn
thing is released!! As a side note, the pattern in the background
seems a little to busy to me.

Booklet: Oh boy where do I start...First off, I hate the font, its
pretty hard to read. The booklet should've been a little more like a
directions book. Possibly something like on the Monster Inc. DVD
booklet, where its like a flowchart so that a moron can find his way
around. Also the sentence structure is a little confusing, and the
grammer is off (I know this sounds weird coming from someone who can't
type a full sentence to save his life, but I can tell when something
sounds weird). As you said it is monotonous. He could've done
better, imo.

Overall I'd have to say I'm a bit dissappointed by his performance
(more about the end product) on this. None of the products look like
something I'd see in a DVD store. A lot of the things are WAY to busy
in the background....

Questions for each of the finalists and teammates:

iisryan: The main problem that I had with your project was the design of the booklet. There weren't any pictures, and Driew complained that the font wasn't really a good choice. Why did you decide to design the booklet like this?

beavis: Again, my main problem had to do with the booklet. A lot of the text was too squished together to read. Why did you decide to design the booklet like this?

Teammates: Did you make any suggestions to the task leader that were used or unused? Particularly regarding the booklet.
