The H Poem (In Which All Lines Begin With H)
Hairy head and comedic wit
Hawaiian shirts are quite a fit
He's got flair and a lot of grace
Heavy in a fat suit, plastic face
Hanging on for quite a while
Handling rock with a geniune smile
Happy Birthday takes a twist
Harvey even makes the list
Hankering for some Lasagna?
Heat some up, don't get it on ya
How about some Star War grins?
Here is Yoda and The Saga Begins
Hallucinate some if you wana
He smells better than Nirvana
Hefty career and quite a pal
Hands are raised for our "Weird Al"

When I see a new ALbum in the store
My blood runs as quick as a wild boar
I quickly pluck it from the rack
March to the checkout, no turning back
The person takes it from my hand
Gives me a look I don't understand
Her eyes moisten, her lips quiver
It's a look that instills a somber shiver
She says softly, and I can hardly hear,
"He can really change lives", then a tear
My puzzled look was hard to hide
I wanted to pay and get outside
But noticing not my impatient stance
She rambled on like a genius in France
"My brother's favorite is 'Grapefruit Diet'
His eyes light up, and he thinks its a riot"
I nod and wonder as I slowly look away
Where's my receipt and "Have a nice day"
But she was now lost in her own thinking
And she continued talking without blinking
"The only time he smiles anymore
Is when he hears an accordion soar
You see, Chuck is twelve and really quite ill
And this man's music is better than any pill
When I visit him, it's his only request
To play 'Weird Al', who he calls the best."
She stops talking, and another tear falls down
She rings up my purchase and I turn around
As I slowly walk out, with puchase in hand
I shed my own tear as I understand
His music may make us laugh and sing along
But it can also affect us in many ways so strong
Thanks "Weird Al" for being like no other,
And keep helping out that clerk's brother.
