As most of you know, "This Is the Life" by Weird Al was the theme song for the theatrical release of Johnny Dangerously, but not the original VHS release. I just got news that Johnny Dangerously is being released on August 27, 2002 (yes, less than 3 months away!). Has anybody heard whether "This Is the Life" has been restored as the theme song on the DVD release?

I've been trying to get Fox Home Entertainment to answer that question, but so far my e-mails have gone unanswered (if anyone has a phone number for them, I would be very grateful).



From all indications, it looks like "Johnny" will just be a catalog release for the studio, so it's doubtful that they would go the extra mile to secure whatever licensing fee necessary for Al's song.



But still, my fingers are crossed.

well if its being released on the 27th, they just have to use al's song, right? i mean it would be a crime against humanity if not!

I thought it was a crime when they released the VHS version years ago without Al's song.
