Should I go?
I would have to miss one day of band camp (the last) to go to OC.

Isn't band camp every year? Should there be a question of what to do? No Al for 2 years+band camp every year=see you in July!

That's a tough one.
I'm a marching band veteran-in common parlance, a 'geek'-so I at least have some semblance of being informed about stuff.
Yeah...right.
Anyway, since it's your first time at band camp...I dunno. Will marching be challenging for you? (Like, can you tell your right from your left? Can you tell that there are four beats in a 4/4 measure, and can you put your feet down on the beats while at the same time playing your instrument, whatever that may be?) And most importantly, are you learning a show during that time?
I'd go ask your band director if they're doing anything vitally important on the last day of band camp, because you may have to miss it.
Smegabyte *and does your director seem like the kind of person who would strongly frown on missing band camp?*

That's a toughie...
I'm missing several days of mindless work for Al. Heck, I got a job for the rest of my plane ticket to OC.
I know missing work doesn't seem like much...but it's money!
I like money.
Do what your pancreas tells you to do. Band camp or Al?
Band camp or Al?
Lots of band stuff or our curlied hair accordion player?
