Are there really thast many dishonest people in the world?

Well, Napster had how many members?

But yeah, it's kinda sad that you can open up a newspaper and see ads screaming "SOLD-OUT SPRINGSTEEN TICKETS FOR SALE!" in the classifieds the day tickets go on sale.

It's just modern human nature. If something can be sold, someone else can buy it and resell it for a handsome profit.

It's business. Afterall, lots of people can be quite greedy.

Has anyone here every bought a Weird Al ticket from a scalper?

I probably never would buy one from a scalper because I'd find out later the tickets were fake or made of graham cracker. :satisfied:

I've upgraded myself at an Al concert once. The 2nd show in Morristown, NJ -- there were lots of empty seats. But, I think it was more about season ticket holders that didn't show up than it was about scalpers. I was able to move from 12th row center to 6th row aisle. I have no regrets -- the better seats should have people in 'em.

Question -- is this considered acceptable? Or is it something that would get you thrown out (or at least sent back to your seat)? If no one contests the seats anyway... I dunno...

We have 8th row seats (5 more days!!!!!) but if there were closer empty seats we'd happily move up, so long as we knew it was 'ok'. 8th row isn't too shabby, after all!!

Sadly, I just bought a pair of tickets from a scalper. I missed the on sale date because it wasn't Ticketmaster, and I had already promised a friend.

I wish people would sit in the seats they were assigned. At a recent concert, I had to stand at the side while an usher tried to figure out who was sitting in my front row seat. I wasn't too happy.

The people even had the audacity to come sit on the floor right in front of us during the encore. If she had been sitting any closer to me or my legs were any longer, she would have "accidentally" gotten a nice kick or two in the back from yours truly.

I would have coughed on the back of her head several times.....accidentally of course.

I partly blame the ushers in matters like that. They don't know where they're directing people. "Oh, you're down on the floor." Geez, thanks....there's only three Row Fs down there.

But still, that's no excuse why they came back and sat in front of you. I mean, granted they were probably disappointed that they had to give up a choice seat, but sheesh....let it go.

That would be like if someone walked down a row they didn't have a ticket for and just stood in the middle.

But anyway, there seemed to have been a lot of similar problems at last night's Toledo show. At least three families in the front row were being shuffled around. At one point it looked like a father was chewing out the staff and was storming out in a huff.

I've always been a big believer in keeping the seats you paid for, even if they suck. As tempting as those empty seats down the row may look to you, people do arrive late sometimes....and having to explain what you're doing there when they show up can be pretty embarrassing.
