I have a policy in which I download no more than 3 to 5 songs to see whether an album is worth it or not. Gotta be surprised. I might get the other albums (which at the moment I think is Alapalozza and Dare to be Stupid) if I feel like it. I feel like I should change that NJ to Alaska just to be safe from you guys.

Whoa, what CDs cost $20 each and where'd you get them? All pre '90 stuff at Best Buy is $11.99 and after that it's $14.99.
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

Didn't I say estimated? All CDs in Red Bank (which is also where I was born, now I go there monthly for CDs and comic books) cost $19 if they're like, good. Compilations are $11.99. Oh and the Alaska thing, I didn't realise scotti was in oregon, I'll be in England if anyone needs me, just gotta make a U-turn at Pennsyvania. On second thought I'll just go join the French (CHEESE EATING SURRENDER MONKEYS!!) foreign legion. Or did they relocate to Congo? Nevermind, the CDs right. Anthon, are the CDs you bought regular CDs or compilation albums, like GH,GH2,TV Album, and that other one I forget the name of, Al Hits I think, oh and the Food Album.

P.S. Estimated Al has made $70 off of record sales to me. 3 $20 cds and 1 $10 compilation.

I've never done the math... I'm afraid to. And I'm a newbie, amateur collector.

Let's see... for the three PHs I bought... probably $50. RWS, BHD, OTDE were all about $14 each. UHF, and PP about $12 each. The rest about $10 each, give or take, including the cheezy compilations. PR, with shipping, just about $45. First copy of UHF movie - $25 including shipping. Second copy $7. Frankie Yankovic and Friends (for Who Stole The Kishka) $15. Pokemon movie (for Polkamon) $12. The Naked Gun boxed set $30. WAY Live DVD, with shipping, $25. Video Libray VHS, still on order with shipping, $15. Unless I've forgotten something... it comes to $400

And if you add the concert and Tshirt cost it comes to a nice tidy $469.

In less than a year. :eh: I can't even imagine how much the Big Boys have spent over the years.

So, you see... I do put my money where my mouth is when it comes to P2P file sharing.

Impressive, does it count if it's not me paying for it? Cause I know me and my buds Bri and Devin (both also Al fans) are goin to the PNC concert in the PH tour cause Bri is related to someone who works there.

Wait a miniute? You bought Pokemon just for Polkaman, impressive also. The only reason I ever watched Spy Hard was for its funniness, that was my pre-Al fan days, when I had heard was SH, Isle thing (being the rerun junkie I am), Saga Begins (Knew alotta SW fans), and Night Santa Went Crazy (who hadn't, funny as heck). Crud, I'm on another tangent.

Okay I just thought, there's one other album I've stolen from, Whichever one had Christmas at Ground Zero on it.

Dan, in case you haven't noticed, I have pretty strong feelings on this. I certainly wasn't meaning to make any of it personal.

I know, I know, don't forget, I'm 1 crazy and 2 a complete jokester (I got into an entire discussion about a country devoted to Al music and Cheese Whis with Stupid Hippie). Now where is that foreign legion?

France would actually be a good place to go, since the French are unfortunately among the worst in stealing music off the Net. You'd be safe there. Although I'm not sure they would welcome you with open arms, since I'm sure they would think that calling them "cheese-eating surrender monkeys" is a little offensive...especially considering that without their help in the Revolutionary War, we would still be a British colony. I would make a comment about your Congo reference and other countries going where they don't belong, but I think it's better to get back to the main thread instead of bringing politics into this.

I have nothing against you at all, seriously. I have nothing against any individual who downloads music. People in general just need to realize that it's not the right thing to do. I just don't appreciate French bashing, especially when it has nothing to do with what's being discussed.

BTW, I have seen several stores near where I live selling CDs at $17.99, $18.99, including the Best Buy here. So those who can find CDs at $11.99 are lucky, IMO. I think it depends on how much competition is in the area. But the question would then be at what price is it right to say that illegally downloading music is justified.

These are the situations in which I believe downloading music off the internet is justified.

1) To find out whether a CD is worth buying or not. It's practacly stealing from you to give you music you don't want.

2) To get a song you could just as easily hear on the radio.

3) To get a song you have on a CD just so you can also hear it on your computer (so as to not take up disk space or make you leave your seat, lazy people).

Also I'm pretty sure it is legal, because when you buy an album you have the right to share it with your freinds (don't forget most of these tracks are ripped or recored off the CD). But it still is immoral legal or not.

P.S. Those Frenchies been stealin music now? Just kidding, I have better things to do than come up with more things to blame the French for. Although I still am mad for them using the SOS signal 1 month before England did. Just kidding again.

And I beg to differ on the revolutionary war thing too, we would gain our independance one way or the other, the French did little fighting, they only intimidated the Brits with their supirior Naval fleets.

One question, what language is the music the French are using in? French or English, or Martain?

Other P.S.

As for the CDs there isn;t much compitition, as far as I know the stores of intrest are a music shop, a music instrument shop, a pet shop, and a Jay and Silent Bob comic store (gotta get my spiderman fix).

It's a quote from The Simpsons - Willy (the Scottish janitor) was teaching French class and said that.

Just thought I'd clear up that lil bit of this intense debate.
