I got the "Weird Al" Yankovic CD and UVC this year. I already had both of them though, so I returned them for money to buy more Al stuff! I don't know if this counts, but I bought myself the Demento Society 2004 package and it came around Christmas time. I also got a few Al things from a guy at my church that I do sound/light/camera stuff with (BTM, There's No Going Home, Gump Single, SML Single). My brother bought me a little accordion-playing bug.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it!

Remember how I said I got this shirt for myself for Christmas, but was sent an extra large instead of a large? Well, I sent it back, and got my replacement on Wednesday! Yay! I was going to wear it to bowling, but I mangaed to splash some tomato sauce on it! Boo! I threw it in the wash, and had to settle for my Curves shirt.
Well, the stains did not come out after that initial washing. I wound up having to wash that shirt about 4 more times on Thursday morning. So, kids, do not get tomato sauce on your shirt! I will be wearing that shirt to bowling next week for sure! I do love it! I wore it yesterday. I got the navy blue sleeves, so I wore my navy blue drawstring waist pants with white stripes on the sides with it. It looked nice together. Anyway, I'm very happy with the shirt. I'm just gonna be more careful while around food!

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

Did you try a stain stick (like shout or something)?algonacchick @ Jan 21 2005, 12:14 PM wrote: Remember how I said I got this shirt for myself for Christmas, but was sent an extra large instead of a large? try a stain stick next time and soak it in cold h20 as well.
Never dry a shirt with a stain or partially removed stain, in the dryer. The heat will set the stain into the fabric and it would require removal with bleach on a q-tip for the white areas.
Aron-- Only the second accordionist to ever sit in the trunk of Torsoboy's DeLorean. Al was the first.

Oh, don't worry, I didn't dry it after the initial washing. I used the Shout gel, and when I finally decided to use hot water, no bleach to wash the shirt, the stains were gone. Now, the shirt is perfect! The thing with me getting that stain on my shirt was, I had an apron on up until I decided to make Derek his dinner. Now I know to cover up that shirt if I smash any food for him while wearing that it from now on.

Am I not the luckiest person in the world? Tell me, am I not?
Guess what I got from my fiance for Valentine's Day. Guess!
Ahh, you'll never guess. I'll just tell ya.
The "Weird Al" Yankovic Anthology!!!
How awesome is that?? I'm like all set now ... the keyboard, some of his sheet music, a desire to play "One More Minute" for my fiance! Awesome!!
Anyway, did anyone else get anything Al related for Valentine's Day?
(I'm pleased as punch that she even remembered I wanted it ... of course, I guess it didn't hurt that I've been mentioning it almost non stop since Christmas when I got the keyboard)

Anthology?? What's that? I know of Permanent Record, but I know not of any Weird Al anthology. Do tell more! Oh, wait. Is that the song book? Oh, that is too cool!! Btw, fat chance of hubby ever getting me anything Al related for any reason. He doesn't like Al.

It's a book of sheet music ... all Al goodness ... for the keyboard, guitar, and voice! It's awesome! It has "Eat It", "Harvey", "Biggest Ball of Twine", "Smells Like Nirvana", and I think about nine other songs in it!! I will scan the cover of it tonight when I am home and post it!
And I was really excited about it when I got it for Valentine's Day ... I had hinted around (well, hinted wouldn't exactly be the right word ... more like begged, I guess), and my fiance surprised me.
Anyway, I have "Harvey" down pretty good so far, as well as a couple of the other songs.
And sorry your hubby doesn't like Al ... my fiance isn't as into him as I am, but she doesn't mind listening to him (and she had a good time at the concert last year).

At least she'll go to a concert. Hubby won't even do that. But, that's ok. My friend Dawn is my concert buddy. Anyone who is willing to drive 6 hours to Chicago and 8 hours back *we had trouble navigating* and is also willing to spend a whole weekend with me at a Weird Al convention is WAY Moby in my book, and an obvious fan! *Well, I kinda converted her* We have so much fun together! My biggest WAY gift from Dawn was her taking me to AlCon, and paying for everything we got for the trip! Whatta gal!
