Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

Remember, in the Song of the Day topic a couple of days back, we were talking about the Al Music segments where Al spoke over the music videos of other artists? Well, through the magic of technology, I was able to recreate those by placing the Al-ified audio back into the real videos. Almost real Al Music quality! I have the Al Music versions of Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana, Losing my Religion by REM, and Man on the Moon by REM. They're very funny! I can't share them with all of you because that would be file trading so only I can enjoy them for now.

I am also currently working on putting the squeaky-high vocals version of Snoop Dogg's Who am I (What's my Name)? into the video.

I have alternate audio for Brilliant Disguise by Bruce Springsteen and Black or White by Michael Jackson but I can't find the videos but if I can I'll recreate those as well. Also, there are apparently two versions of the Heart Shaped Box video by Nirvana. One version where he sings the last verse in the hospital and one version where he sings the last verse lying in a field of flowers. I have the wrong version and can't find the right version (I need the hospital room version) so I'll also be looking for that. I'll let you all know if I can finish anything else.

So, until then, this topic is open for discussion about the series. I'll leave you off with a quote:

Sometimes I have this dream that I was a big, fat woman with no skin and wings and I was walking on a treadmill and I must have Jell-O!

I've finished the Who Am I (What's My Name)? video and obtained the Black or White video to work with when I get some time. I've also gotten Jeremy by Pearl Jam, another video he spoke over.

But I mean, it's not commercially released, is it? If Al gave it away for free surely you can too.

Ask WHiZZi if you can show us. I'd like to see them too!

Well, I don't have permission from Al or the original artists (REM, Nirvana, Snoop Dogg, Michael Jackson, Pearl Jam...) but I'll ask WHiZZi. They're a must-have for any Weird Al fans.

Also, my server is...dead...until my dad takes time to back his files up so we can restore a computer checkpoint and hopefully make my programs work again so I wouldn't have any way to get them to all of you for a while. They're all about one GB in size (although I'm sure Weirdo Jace could compress them to about half that much) so we'll just have to see how that goes.

Oh yeah, and if any Nirvana fans out there have the hospital room version of the Heart Shaped Box video on their computer then you know where to reach me...:F *whistles, I'm not file trading*

You can use the WOWAY Awards server if you like.

Are they AVIs? I should be able to find a nice tutorial for you if they are. 'cause, ya know, Jace is in Mexico at the moment.

This is kind of embarrassing but I don't know what file format they are. Because WinAmp is my defult player, it lists them as WinAmp Media Files. Do you know how I could find out the file type?

It still lists it as a WinAmp Media File.

Go to any folder using My Computer, then up the top
Tools > Folder Options > View > Files and Folders > just below Show Hidden Files and Folders, untick the "Hide Extensions for Known File Types" option. Then you can go and find your file and see what extension it is.
