Way back in Al's college days, I was a DJ on campus--and a darn good one if I do say so myself.

So Al brought in his record "My Bologna" to me and as I played it for the first time (to test it out to see if it was any good for my show), I laughed so hard, I spit the coffee I was drinking all over my desk.

Oh wait. That never actually happened. :lookaround:

When I met Al, I said to him, "Thank you for spitting on me all night!" I sincerely meant it!

When we do all of this silly stuff, you just know he's thinking, "And they call me weird!"

If anyone can appreciate enthusiastic geekiness, I think it's our boy.

I squealed in front of Al. SQUEALED!! When Al was talking to Christina on my cell at Oxnard, she mentioned to him that I squealed. Al says "She's a squealer?" then I squeal, and then he says "Oh yeah, there she goes." Afterwards, I just thought..."I Squealed in front of Al???" I thought that it was really funny. Also, backstage at OC, I told Al that he didn't even have to take his top off. (I gave him mardi-gras beads...) anyways, eeeeeeeeeeeeee!

love ALWAYs

He became Francine back in 76' and then he joined that cult. I think his name is Mother Shibubu now.

I think I'm still most embarrassed by asking Al for my Sharpie back. Yup, that's one grateful & generous fan there. "Can I have my pen back, Al?"

Of course, I've WRITTEN stuff that's much more embarrassingly loquacious. But I wasn't there when (if?) he read it.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

I love you, and all, Al. But you weren't planning on stealing my pen were you?

When. Not if. He probably has a file cabinet with your name on it.

I'm not a starstruck person per say, but I would actually love to see my boyfriend Peter get to meet Al one day to see how he'd act - this is based on when we met Harry Anderson (who lives here in New Orleans and owns a magic shop in the French Quarter). Peter is a former cop and gulf war vet - not the type you'd ever expect to act starstruck, but when our friends who know him introduced us to Harry, Peter babbled like a total goof while my friends and I stood there smirking at the whole thing. (at one point, Harry looked at me and asked "Is he always like that?) Peter is an Al fan too, and I can't wait to see if he does the same thing!
I come bearing a gift. I'll give you a hint: It's in my diaper and it's NOT a toaster.

If that isn't the signature line to end all signature lines ...

I met Richard Moll this summer. He came through my checkstand at work... I was cool as a cucumber. It's not like he was "Weird Al" or anything... :F

I said something kinda stupid in front of Al. I wasnt embarassed at the time, but afterwards, my brother teased me a little bit about it, ( ) and then I was like, "I cant believe I said that".

As Al was signing my CD, I, not knowing what to say because I was a bit nervous about meeting him, stupidly said "Uh, I like your song!". And thinking back on it, it was a stupid thing to say, because there isnt a song titled "Weird Al", at least not that I know of. <sigh> Yep. AIH can sure make you do embarassing things sometimes.

Anyway, if at any point any of you would like to write a short song titled "Weird Al", just to make me feel like it wasnt the most pointless thing I ever said, by all means, go for it! :P

Side note: I was by the DECC in Duluth today, and I think I figured out where the tour buses will be parked if Al goes there again. :F
2018 Tour: Rochester, Minneapolis, Fargo, Clear Lake, and Green Bay...so far...
