Well, for those of you who haven't seen my mini-minireview of the New Orleans House Of Blues concert, Al REALLY did something unusual last night!!
Jim requested "some Zeppelin" before OMM, then started into the guitar riff for "Whole Lotta Love", similar to what many of you have heard before.
But the shocker is he starts singing "Trash Day" in full VoKal garb, then about a minute into the song starts yelling, "No no no!! Stop it!! Stop the music!! ... Ladies and gentlemen, I'm sorry but there's no reason to do this song now." The audience stands in stunned silence for maybe 5 seconds ... then the band LAUNCHES into -- get this -- "Radio Radio" by Elvis Costello!!!
They did pretty much the entire song!!! He peels off his red topshirt and just starts SINGING "Radio Radio"!!
So ... I dunno HOW to list it here. I guess "Whole Lotta Love" ... again ... but where to put "Radio Radio"??
Doc / Jim

Actually, I think he's basing that on Elvis Costello himself. Back on Saturday Night Live in the 70s, Elvis Costello was the musical guest one night. He wanted to perform the song "Radio Radio" but NBC wouldn't let him. So during the live show, he began to sing "No Limit/Less Than Zero."
30 seconds later, the band stops playing and then they start to play "Radio Radio."
So I'm guessing that's where Al got the idea of cutting a song short and then playing "Radio Radio."

I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!
