In the movie UHF, George's kiddie show is called "Uncle Nutzy's Clubhouse". The title was from an actual TV show Al saw as a child in California.

According to the "Ask Al" Q&As for August, 1999, Al named the show after an article he saw as a kid in MAD Magazine from Issue #93 (March 1965), which satirized kiddie shows of the time:

"Rip Carbuncle of Big Loins, Arkansas asks: Al... In UHF, did you get the name "Uncle Nutzy's Clubhouse" from the MAD Magazine article with the same show title?"

There was however a real TV kids show called "The Uncle Floyd Show" [which was on Channel 68 in West Orange, New Jersey], whose host wore a porkpie hat, plaid jacket, and bowtie -- and did lots of zany stuff. It however was NOT seen in California and didn't start until January 29, 1974 [Al was in high school by then ... though it's still on the air TODAY!] Al did however base his "Nutzy" character's appearance on Uncle Floyd:
