I hope the ratings are good for you. Why? You've lost a viewer.
So I guess he's down to 6 viewers now? Honestly, we don't have to worry too much about Craig because hardly anyone watches his show. Heck, Conan jokes about how nobody watches his own show, being so late as it is, but at least he's funny some of the time, and he has way more viewers than Kilborn- I almost feel sorry for him, he lost whatever viewers he may have gained by having weird al on. He's already getting his just desserts: crappy ratings.
Here I thought I was doing good and recording it.. When I got home from work on thursday afternoon, I rewind the tape a bit to watch only Al's Part... YAY!!! How Terrific!!.......... then it stopped.
I had my timer on my VCR set wrong. So I didn't get the last 5 minutes of the show, which included Al's part
*who is still sad she hasn't been able to see the performance, saw Craigs Comment  , and has an old computer that won't download divix etc. and doesn't have enough HD space for it anyhow.. *sigh**
Ratbert, are you getting an error page? If so, keep trying. The person who posted this link said that happens when the site gets a lot of hits. I just tried myself again, and got one, too. My file is lost now. I guess "temporary" means only 2 days?? Anyway, keep trying, it does work, trust me! Update: I'm downloading from that very link right now! Patience, Ratbert, patience! It pays off!
I finally saw "the comment" by Craig Kilborn and this is just my opinion, but I think most of you are all overreacting.
What Craig said was "Weird Al is not necessarily my cup of tea, but that's okay." Then he kind of looks offstage to ask someone for a little more info, and says, "Is it funny? Is it clever? It's good. Okay, cool." I'm glad he was honest that he wasn't familiar with Al's work and to me his comment just sounded like he was interested in giving Al a fair chance.
Also, some people were getting bent out of shape because there was no interview. Where did it say there would be an interview? I just recall reading there would be a performance. Lots of bands perform without giving an interview. Leno and Letterman usually do that, and I wouldn't expect Craig to do otherwise. It would have been nice to see an interview, but I'm happy with just a performance.
Also, I think AL walked off stage as part of the performance. He did the same for "Amish Paradise" on Dick Clark's New Year's Eve thing. I don't think it had anything to do with Craig's comments or attitude.
I've never watched the show before, and unless Weird Al is on again, I probably won't watch it again, but only because it's on late, and I usually don't watch late night talk shows unless someone I like is on. Anyway, I think some of you are giving a bad rap to Craig Kilborn for no legit reason.
I didn't think there was anything mean spirited about it.
