It was either in Ask Al or the Compleat Al video where he said that. But I can see why he might just do popular songs whether he likes them or not.

Ok, OE, that does make sense! But the parodies, just straight parodies, can just be popular w/o Al liking them, like Bobbi said. :)

In the KABC interview he said he's pretty neutral about the full-on parodies, he'll do a really popular song whether it's a favorite of his or not (unless he really hates it-- and he mentioned the Macarena), but apparently the style parodies are different. Those artists, he really likes.

You do realize, that if you keep teasing us with tidbits from that interview, you're gonna have to brave the interference and transcribe it for us?

Hey, OE, is that interview archived? I wish I could've listened, but I think I fell asleep! lol! Looks like we pretty much cleared up anything to do with the Al parodies, style or otherwise. whew!

Can I finish stripping my cabinet doors and running to the hardware store first?

Hey... maybe I'll go play "Hardware Store" for the guys at the hardware store. We're starting to develop an ongoing relationship as it is, and this could only help.

You should probably play it for them. Since singing it would be really hard.

Don't forget to tell us about their reaction.

hehe, oh, that would be priceless to play that song for them!! Tell us if they notice that one certain item on the list that I'm sure is not carried in ANY hardware store!

Automatic Circumcisors? They're on aisle 12. What size did you need?

Yeah, I crack me up sometimes...
