I did finally get it to work. I almost cried listening to it. I could here the strain in Al's voice. How insensitive those jerks were. Ya know, after I had a miscarriage I did not leave my house for a long time because I was afraid of people talking about it. I was afraid of seeing things that would make me think about it. After a while I decided it was time to come out. The first time somebody mentioned anything about it I wanted to run screaming back to my house and lock the doors. They said Al should have expected that question. That's the horrible part. I'm sure he did. I'm sure he dreaded it like I dreaded hearing anything related to my misfortune. I'm still caught off gaurd when someone mentions it and it's been 2 years now. I know it's not exactly the same. I don't have media clammering to find out what happened but I felt that way and I ran from it. I'm crying now just thinking about it. I"m sorry. I'll stop going on and on about this. Please don't think I'm trying to compare my loss to Al's. I just know how he felt getting hit with that question. Poor Al! ;(

Okay, it worked. I'm very angry about that now.

Bela may be the exception. She was very gracious about meeting her fans, although she did refuse to do autographs.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Jenni. I know what you mean about how hard it is. I really do. It's not the same as Al's loss, but it's something painful, and hearing someone talk about it or having someone ask you about it so soon afterwards would have been hard. I lost my daughter 2 years ago, and it's still hard for me to deal with that. I don't think I would have been able to deal with someone mentioning her loss or asking about it in the same setting as Al had to, in an interview. Al handled it well, and for them to say he was hyper about it really puzzled me. I found those people very insensitive, especially after the interview. I felt bad for Al during it, but if he heard anything those guys said after, I really feel bad for him. He's too fine a person to have to deal with jerks like that, but, unfortunately, he had to. Poor Al. *hugs*

*Hugs to you, Jenni*

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Another blow to a long-deceased equine:

I finally was able to listen to the Phoenix interview. My take is cluelessness, not malice. But the bit after the interview was just a snapshot of how we wind up with those video/audio clips of the "Other than that, how did you like the play, Mrs. Lincoln?" type: one media guy has kind of a vague idea that he's overstepped, and then his buds rush in to reassure him that, oh, no, it was great, that's what we're about... and another layer gets worn away from his instincts for humane treatment of others.

Wow, OE, you used a lot of big words but I totally agree with you. He was kinda apologetic until they told him it was a good thing to do.... *sigh* Poor Alfred, having to deal with morons like that...

 I know you were making a serious point, but that's about the funniest thing I've read today.
