I'm a little disappointed that most of the bonus mixes will be instrumental. I listen to Al for the lyrics! I love the idea of a vocals-only mix though.
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

I still think the Billy Joel parody was the "I always thought that..."
Mike
Someone needs to ask Bermuda in the chat. Assuming of course, there will still be a chat and we didn't anger him by basically blowing the whole album sky high

I hope so....I still want my cookie!
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

I noticed that, too! I believe it came up during a conversation about shutting off the power in a particular building; the key-maker mentioned something about having to shut off 27 blocks' worth of electricity. This is off the subject, but sort of deals with Al. I saw The Matrix: Reloaded last night and there is a reference to Al, well not really, but they mention the number 27. It has nothing to do with the main plot, but it may be a very subtle Al reference or not.
I just saw Matrix Reloaded and noticed it as well.
Maybe this is a sign of the cosmic significance of the number 27. It is integral if mankind is to be saved. And weird al is our savior.
Well, maybe I souldn't go that far. Although he would be a better choice than Keanu Reeves. LOL

I just listened to Why Does This Always Happen to Me... Ben Folds plays the piano, and It definitely smells like Ben all over the song - if he wasn't actually playing on the song I could swear to god it could be a ben folds five style parody of... well, some cross between 'Army' (The Solo and the bap-bap-bap-baaaaas, mostly), 'One Down' (The vocal stylings and the verses), and 'Song for the Dumped' (The pace, the choruses)

Thanks Ed and Patti. Yeah, it was time-consuming, but I'm a student. What else am I going to do with my time? STUDY?!
After having posted them, however, I remembered about the Song Lyrics on the enhanced section of the disc, where the polka lyrics do appear... I could have just got the lyrics from there and saved myself some time. D'oh! Which brings me on to...
This is quite weird, because now having checked the lyrics on the disc, I see that the line appears as "Move out of California," despite the fact that Al clearly sings "Move out to California." (Unless he's purposely pronouncing "of" in an ambiguous way.) I think what probably happened is that the person transcribing the song was familiar with the original version and, like myself, thought that the lyric was "Move outta California."
Yeah, sorry about that, my post was a bit redundant.*Also, I posted a corrected version of the lyrics a while back.*
No, they're not. I got them from the net, then edited them appropriately to reflect any alterations/additions made by Al.Are the lyrics to the polka in the booklet?

No, it's move out to California, I have the VInes CD and I checked the Liner notes.

Well when the singer from the vines sings it, it sounds like "moo outa Californa" (yes thats phonetically...kinda...)

Thanks Goomba....in other news...bad news this is. I just flipped through Best Buy's AD for the week, no mention of Poodle Hat. Ouch, thats not going to help this good release. There's a lot of people out there that would buy his stuff if they knew it was out. Did anyone see Poodle Hat advertised in a flyer?

No, I looked at the Media Play ad and found nothing either.
Guess they're not going to make a big deal about this.
God knows why, Weird Al may not be "The Newest Hottest Thing", but I'm sure he'll sell well.
