This isn't the first time I've seen this. Is it real? Is it promoted by Al? Is it any good? Am I asking too many questions?

Um, if it was promoted by Al it'd be on the mothership. I'm not sure if it's real, but anyone can make a Karaoke CD.iisryan27 @ May 9 2004, 07:51 PM wrote: This isn't the first time I've seen this. Is it real? Is it promoted by Al? Is it any good? Am I asking too many questions?

It's real in the sense that it's an actual product produced by an actual karaoke company, but no it's not an authentic Al item.iisryan27 @ May 9 2004, 10:51 PM wrote: Is it real? Is it promoted by Al? Is it any good?
I picked one up on eBay for my Al-loving cousin last Christmas since he's got a karaoke system. All it is really are the karaoke versions of the original songs, but with Al's lyrics printed on the TV screen. And yes, since Al's parodies are often different lengths than the original songs, there are quite a number of awkward moments throughout the disc.
It's a fun little oddity if you can get it cheap enough, but it's not really worth tracking down.

Did they get permission by Al or the original artists? I guess they'd have to.

Especially if some of the parodies are not among AL's biggest hits. I would rather have DTBS or C@GZ on a karaoke disc than She Drives Like Crazy, Grapefruit Diet or Phony Calls (not hits but represented on this CD).doggans @ May 10 2004, 09:40 PM wrote: ...what's the point of a karaoke cd that only has parodies?![]()
