My dad said they announced his birthday on the raido a few years ago and then played Yoda.

I wasn't there. >:S

I've never heard Al on the radio myself. I'm thinking of starting a strike.

:x:

Wait, I never listen to the radio anyway. Nevermind. :F
How many molecules are in Leonard Nimoy's butt anyway?

The only time I heard him on the radio around the Utica, NY area was when Al came to the Turning Stone Casino back in July and they played Couch Potato and A Complicated Song and that was about it. But a few of my co-workers heard the songs and thought they were funny.

I always wondered why Al didn't get played that much on the radio anymore. It's sad! :(

I went to that concert too. And I missed him on the radio!! Ahh!! X*

:) I think one of the reasons why Al hasn't topped the charts is because radio DJs never play his songs... Give him a chance!!

Today on Dutch radio 3FM , they played One Week ( Jerry Springer original ) , and I thought is their a reason they played that song exactly 1 week after the tragic accident.

I always hear the originals and then I try to sing Al's version and lately they played lot of original , no AL because of the little knowledge by the Dutch of AL.

The played recently ( last 2 weeks ) : Piano Man , Complicated , One Week , Addicted to Love , American Pie ( Madonna ) , Hot in Herre , Hold Me/ Thrill Me/ Kiss Me/ Kill Me , Can't touch that , She drives me crazy , Living in America , Like a virgeon , The Eye of the Tiger , I love Rock 'n' Roll , My Sharona and I got my mind set on you.

I was always hoping it was WAY , but got disappointed each time. :D

3FM , it's a Dutch public radiostation and they play mostly popular music and oldies.

This station in the radio at work , at home I hardly listen to the radio only fridaynights between 22.00 and 24.00 Ben Liebrand's In the Mix on Veronica , streaming link GMT+1 ( for you then , it's between 6 - 9 hours earlier in the States , so east 16-18 and westcoast 13-15 )

I heard from a friend that a radio station in Detroit - 93.1 WDRQ was making fun of Al for touring after his parents' deaths. I was shocked! I wanted to send them a nasty email, but I didn't hear it myself and my friend was vague with the details. Did anyone in the Detroit area hear this? Should I email the radio station without knowing exactly what they said? I never listen to this stupid station anyway, but they can't be mean to AL!

I'd bug your friend to see if they can remember anything specific about it, and then e-mail the station. It would help to be able to cite a specific example in the e-mail, but I would send one whether or not you have anything specific.
