Scroll up and read Dr. Dad's post, alfever. This is assuming this track list is real. I don't believe it myself.

I'm sure (if it's even real) that it's totally apolitical. I think an earlier post had it right with their theory that it's about Jerry Lewis and France's er...UNIQUE taste in comedy. And (again, if it's real) with a runtime of 9 minutes, is it a rambling original like "Albuquerque" or a parody? With a title like "Genius in France", I have to guess a parody. But of what? Could he be going back to the Tom-Tom Club's dance hit "Genius of Love"? That song was about 9 minutes long, too. Hmmmm....

That is, if it's a real song.

Angry White Boy Polka - 5:11
Bob - 3:02
Party At The Leper Colony - 3:46
Couch Potato - 4:29
Trash Day - 3:19
Ebay - 3:35
Wanna B Ur Luvr - 6:24
Why Does This Always Happen To Me - 4:59
Ode To A Superhero - 4:56
Genius In France - 9:10
Hardware Store - 3:40
A Complicated Song - 3:48

Oy vey, those songs sound so fake... I think it's a prank by some tech genius type person. Or the label themselves. Hey, stuff like that has been done before by other artists, so why not Al?

But if the track list is real, I must say that it looks like a much worse CD than Running With Scissors... although it's not always the best policy to judge a track by it's name. I thought One More Minute by Authority Zero was a cover of Al's song, but it's not. Though their song is pretty darn spiffy once the intro is over.

Which brings me to this point... (and definitely deviating from the original point of the thread, but I don't care...) how funny would it if Al parodied or polkaed a song with the same title as one of his older songs?

The playing time said 3:27 seconds, 9: 50... but it would only play for 6 to 7 seconds.

What did you do to the songs to make them play? I too, encoded, converted all the songs, burned them to a disc, and through my CD player, with the volume turned all the way up, get just a second or two of music. What program did you use?

Another thing to consider....

If it's a gag put together by Al and the suits, I think another good possibility is that there's one or two real tracks on there (Along with P@TLC), but....what?

....OK, I admit it, I'm as clueless as I sound

I'm pretty clueless too, but I think it would be cool if Bob was one of the real songs! The rest of the titles sound like they'd make either too awful or too topical songs for Al to do 'em.

And about those MP3's again... I have a theory, (although I don't have enough hard drive space to download the songs and play with 'em), that all the "songs" are just different three to five second snippets of Party At The Leper Colony that have been scrambled beyond recognition. -Shrugs- But then again, they could be bits of real songs.

I wish I had the space to download and play with them!

Considering on iMesh there's TRACK NUMBERS!!!! on the end of the songs (well,a few). Usually when they have those on, you know they're real. I'm 90% sure of this list, but everybody will disagree w/ me. This is what I did to judge leaked tracks on Sum 41's DTLI and LP's Meteora, WS's Elephant (PS I own all those) and they turned out real.

BTW, did anyone see Marty's Gag at Al-oholics Anonymous??? Funny, Marty...
