The opening act was a guy from the local radio station (I think).. he was moderately amusing..

As Fred said, Al went down the far side from her for OMM.. I had a great view of him from the balcony each time he came up the aisles. For WBUL he jumped off the other side of the stage, and did some moves for Fred, came further back, climbed on chairs a couple times balancing and singing, then got on his hands & knees on the left side of the stage where it projected slightly by the stairs. I got a good pic of it, but Fred's was better. She also managed to snap at least one other pic that was very drool-worthy, thanks for letting us see it afterwards Fred! The Gals in the front got a lot of attention for this and most of the other songs.. it could because they were screaming their heads off and dancing in their seats, and doing all the hand moves... *sigh*.. they made me so proud!!!! Right before OMM Al said we're going to take the next song by request.. and people start yelling stuff, and the Gals must have really been yelling because Al held out the mic for Kristi who stood up and yelled "ONE MORE MINUTE!" into it, and that's what they did. Kristi you ROCK! Never seen that before..

Because I was in the balcony, I had a really AWESOME view of the new lighting effects, it's a shame the camera Nazi's came and told me I couldn't take pictures partway through the concert (grrr)... "No professional photography -- no zoom lenses".. gimme a break. So unfortunately no good pics of the cool lighting effects. During Jurassic Park the lights make these funky cool spinning triangles over the guys, and for Amish Paradise during the gilligan's island refrain part all of the lights were off except for these cool white ones from behind Al, sillouetting him. Wish I coulda got a pic of that I was at the perfect angle. He wanted me to give him my film/delete my digital pics, but eventually he went away so I could watch the rest of the concert and never came back. Just in case I secreted my flashcards about my person where they wouldn't be found by a cursory search. Didn't get very many pics. :(

The cheerleaders were pretty good, but a little.. slinky... Al threw the cup and a guy in the front row (not pit) almost caught it but it bounced off his hands and went behind Jennifer in the pit. She didn't realize it, and the guy next to her snagged it. Then Al kicked the water left on the stage all over the pit folks -- hahahaha!!

At the end of Yoda, Al took off his accordion, and was tossing it up and catching it like 3 times in front of Steve. I was like AAGH!! Don't strain your back!!

Afterwards there was a ton of people waiting out front by the buses, it was cold and windy, eventually Skip came out, gave the speech, and we lined up and were taken in in groups. It was very crowded in the narrow hall and some of Al's fans need to learn proper hygiene habits  Said a quick Hi to Al, said I was sad it was the last time I'll see him til August, he pretend pouted for me <awww> then it was outside to wait for the Gals to regroup for a photo op, and a long drive home.

Had a great time, it was wonderful to see friends again!

Hi everyone-
Here is my review for the Indy Concert:
I was in row 10 center right on the aisle. I was on Jim's side in center section.
Opening act- at least he was not vulgar (Dave Dugan was the comic)
AWBP- Very much like Ft. Wayne show!
PATLC- Al made alot of funny faces during this song!
Horrorscope- Not to complain but Al's voice was really drowned out by the band but one of my favorite songs . Jim was jumping up and down alot!
Complicated- Phone gag got a big laugh!
(I may go out of order from here)
Melanie- Lady behind me singing this one and seemed to know all of the words!
DED- Man, this is my favorite song. His Talking Heads was dead on and Al was really into this. He did all of the David Byrne moves. Love it!
OMM- Al went to other side of theater but got a huge laugh with the underwear.
IAATP- Silver suit was fun and I noticed he usually had the mic stand. During the refrain when the strobes kicked on he would be near where the mic stand was usually placed. This time he just did the same moves w/o the stand (did it get in his way before?) He also did a new thing where he appeared to be moving towards the front of stage in slow motion like one of the first scenes on the video (walking from car).
IWBYL- This time Al went to my side! I saw Al's nose on Fred's camera! (see previous post by Fred) I was like what is he doing!!?? I was cracking up. It seemed like he was there forever! He sang to the person right behind me too! I also noticed that he gave Fred another pose when he was returning to stage. He stuck his rear right by his camera! Audience loved this !!
Medley- Since this was missed in Ft Wayne, I had never seen this performed. Al's harmonica solo got a big laugh as did Ed's(is this his name??) reaction (he kept glancing at his watch)
Trash Day- Trash Cans had holes in them and placed in front of stage lights to create a neat effect!
Teen Spirit- Perfect! Cheerleaders were in sync. Right before song started during video clips Al's mic stand folded down. Stage hand ran across stage and set it back up right before song started. I noticed it and was hoping Jim or Steve would notice before song started.
Amish Paradise- Most of main floor did arm movements with Al!
Fat- Al, Jim, Steve layed on floor. How on earth can you play guitar and sing and do that and get back up??
Saga- Crowd loved it!
Light show was great during the part before Yoda! Reuban pointed to lights and they went from blue to white! Neat effect.
Yoda- Chant was great. Really showed off great vocals by entire band. Al tosses accordian 3 times up in air (not too high) and catches it.
Overall crowd was really into it. I hope this will help get some more visits to Indy. I live just north about 20 minutes from Indy. Better than Ft. Wayne show due to better crowd response. Fantastic job by entire band and crew! I did not stay for meet and greet as my guests all wanted to get home before it was too late. Since I had attended a few of the meet and greets I was ok to go home
Hope review was not too long or boring but this show deserved the attention!
Fantastic show! (show #9 for me)

then he went 2 rows behind and i got a bunch of butt shots, and when Al came back down, he stopped again and did some more butt moves infront of me. i asked Al later that i was not expecting that, and he said he didnt expect to do that either

Things are, ahem, shaping up nicely for the 2005 Al's Buns Calendar, apparently! :S
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.
