I'm hoping to meet Al. I know it is an outside chance. But it is a chance. Even if I don't meet him or any of TBITB, I will still get a chance to meet some nice Al fans and have the experience of a great show. With any luck, a rare chance to hear Al sing an oldie but goodie (Take Me Down.)

Oh yeah. And the Restroom of Future Fame. Can't miss that.

Yes, reserved seating is always the best.

Meeting Al and the band takes skill, a map, and a telescope. Okay, not really. It takes patience waiting after the show or being incredibly lucky for backstage passes.

And just a little wimpy word on safety, should you want to wait by the bus after the show. For the most part, the tour buses park close to the stage area, but some venues and fairgrounds can get pretty deserted after official "closing" time, so don't wander around alone. There will usually be a crowd of fans going toward the general area where the buses are....just stick with them.

Very sound advice... you should definitely try and get an idea of the neighboorhood a given venue is in. I still remember an employee at one place warning against rolling down the car windows once you leave the parking lot.

Meeting Al...at the Rib CookOff, I was staring in his trailer behind the stage for 5 minutes while my sister went to the bathroom. Al poked his head out the window, I started waving my arms around, making the rock on symbol and going mad. Al smiled, rolled his eyes, and left the window.

That ALONE was worth admission.
