Las Vegas 06-21-03

There's still no information on WHEN tickets for the Las Vegas show are going on sale, but I did get the price information today direct from the box office; $25, $35, or $75!! I asked if there was anything special, like dinner, included with that and was told. "No, nothing like that. 'They' set the ticket prices, not us." I didn't ask who 'they' was, but was wondering, Al?

Well if Clear Channel has anything to do with it, you can pretty much bet it's them.

I don't believe Al sets the prices. I would imagine whoever is hosting does. Ideally you would think it would be whatever Al's price is + the venue's overhead (with a little profit) divided by however many seats there are. It's possible that Al's people ask for more when a venue is going to be harder to get to. Such as the LV show. The logistics to squeeze it into that date probably made it require more money to be worth Al's (and everyone else's) time.

The $75 have just turned out to be this tiny section at the VERY front (almost too close) that seems to be reserved for high rollers or something. Not sure.

Say, since you live there, can you tell me where the locals gamble for some good payoffs?

Most locals DON'T gamble, at least the ones I know.
I'm only 17 so I can't gamble, and I have no interest in it either. It DOES NOT PAY OFF.
I recommend that instead of blowing a hundred bucks on gambling...spend 88 dollars on a ticket to see Blue Man Group: Live at Luxor...THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!!!!

Sometimes I come out ahead when I gamble. To me it's entertainment. I alot a certain amount of money and then I stop. Last time I went up to my hotel room with $90 in quarters and dumped it all on the bed to see what it would look like before I cashed them in.
I would LOVE to see the Blue Man Group. I'll be heading home after the Vegas concert. I suppose I should look and try to fit them in.
