This has been announced on the mothership, and so far seems to be the first tour date for the continued Alpocalypse Tour! Excited to have these popping up again, and so soon! I realize this is about five months early, but does anyone think they'll be able to make this one?

Good to hear that Al is touring again, but I'm kind of hoping this is more of a Spring/Summer tour where he would be on the road between mid-March and mid-August. I was thinking about him doing something like the 2000 leg of "Touring With Scissors" where he was on the road form February to early November, but realistically shorter than that since he has a family to raise now.

Well, the OC Fair is definitely within the realm of possibility now... we'll see!
Either way, my thinking is that Al probably won't have much, if any tour dates that come before this one. It seems more likely that the tour will start in early May and go into late October, like the first leg of the SOL Tour. With that in mind, I'm almost positive Texas will get a share of dates for June...

Yay! I have been emailing the booking manager at this venue periodically over the past few years, asking if they'll book Weird Al. I guess my persistence paid off!
I bought tickets this afternoon, as soon as I noticed it was posted on the Mothership. In my haste, I forgot to check the calendar to see what day the concert is!
It's a bummer that it's on a school night, but since this venue is only 25 minutes away, we'll keep the tickets and go anyway. We'll keep our fingers crossed that the kids don't have a ton of homework, or any big tests or projects due the next day!

I just checked out the presale on the venue's website, and for non-VIP tickets, they weren't offering anything better than the weirdal.com presale.

The tree isn't decorated and I don't have my Christmas shopping completed.....

That's the benefit of buying only 2 tickets.
I needed 4 tickets together, either 4 in a row or 2 in front, 2 behind. I called the venue again this morning to see the best 4 seats available, but it wasn't better than what I bought from PAID. The frustrating thing, of course, is waiting 4 1/2 months to find out
exactly where my seats are!
I hope we get a chance to say "hi" at the show!
Who else is going? Melissa? How about Dingo?
