At first I did not like this song. In fact, IMHO this was the worst song on the album. I knew it had to be a style parody, though. But now its just annoying as I keep hearing "Flow... flow... flow pancreatic juice, flow flowl" going through my head! I am liking it more though

That whole section, in particular, has a heavy 'Smile' feel to it. I hear shades of Roll Plymouth Rock, Cabin Essence, and Good Vibrations throughout it.

I wasn't that crazy about it when I listened to it for the first time, either, but now I can't get the song out of my head.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Same here!
It's a great song, musically, even if it is very "old-school-dr.demento"
Now its been stuck in my head a lot.

I love this song, easily one of my favorites. I am not thrilled with the video though. It just doesnt seem right to me, I dunno why.

What the video is missing is some color. I personally really like this video a lot because I know a little bit about the method of editing the artist used. But as an Al fan, I think it could've used some color to match the colorful accompanyment.

I must not get the artist, or editing style, or whatever. I, personally, thought the video was kinda lame. I would have to agree, though, that this is a really difficult song to get out of one's head. It's one my favorites on the ALbum.

The line: My spleen just doesn't matter

Makes me laugh because www.myspleen.net is a web site with a relatively large user base. I wonder if any of them drew a connection there.

Thank you Driew for helping to uncover the origins of Bob Dylan's line "I got the pork chop, she got the pie"...

ooops, wrong forum :lookaround:

So Mr. Blashfield is going to be going from pancreases to the kidneys of the world? OOOOOkay.

Actually I like his video. It's quirky. He even manages to sorta lip-synch the people in the footage to the singing. It's kind of like an homage to Al's own use of "repurposed" footage.

And I'll bet that sometime on the next concert tour, he DOES have a chance to meet Al in person.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.
