AN EVENING WITH WEIRD AL YANKOVIC
PRESENTED BY AMERICAN EXPRESS
Monday, July 25, 2011; 8:00pm

As pop music's premiere satirist, "Weird Al" Yankovic has been a consistent and potent force in the musical landscape for over three decades. He is the biggest selling comedy recording artist of all time, and his hit singles and pioneering music videos such as Eat It, Amish Paradise and White & Nerdy have earned him international acclaim. Throughout his career, Weird Al has released over 30 gold and platinum albums, and out of a clean dozen GRAMMY nominations, he has garnered three wins. Join us as we welcome "Weird Al" Yankovic to The Clive Davis Theater for a special interview, moderated by GRAMMY Museum Executive Director Bob Santelli. Hear Al in discussion about his celebrated career as a recording artist and his work as a songwriter, record producer, concert performer, actor, director, and his most recent addition to his list of accomplishments as a New York Times Bestselling children's author. He will also discuss his first new studio album in five years, Alpocalypse, which debuted at #9 on the Billboard charts. Following the interview, Al will take questions from the audience.

Doors open at 7:30pm. American Express presale tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com by American Express Card members starting Friday, July 1, at noon. I will go to this for sure, but looks like I'll have to wait for them to open it up to non-AmEx users first.

Nice find, Ludo!

Try getting an AMEX gift card and see if that works for pre-orders?

I read the title and thought he was doing something like "An Evening With Kevin Smith." Which is director Kevin Smith doing a bunch of Q&A sessions and telling stories.

I would love to attend this but it's not possible.

If anyone's going, let us know how it went.

That's exactly what I'm hoping it is.

Hey if anyone from the forum is planning to go to this who does have an AmEx card, please send me a PM. I'd love to work something out to go in on a pre-order since I'll get kind of nervous waiting until five days before the event to get a ticket.
