Im actually gonna be in Montreal a few days before that to see Motorhead. I would definitely go if Al and the band were playing, but this isn't a show right, hes just hosting the festival.

I just bought my tickets. I'm going to see Tim Minchin solo as well that night.

Edit: I also asked the J4L crew and they said he might play songs in between sets as well... I'm not sure, but I'll take anything at this point.

The article says that this will air on Conedy Network.

They always tape the shows. It will probably also air on CBC in a few years.

Awesome, that might even mean they'll air it in Australia then, since they've shown a fair few JFL specials in the past.

So, the Amp'd show ends with enough time to go see Tim Minchin?

If not, I'll miss a bit of one of them. I bought the Minchin tickets before this was announced. The shows are 3 blocks apart, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

I wondered a couple days ago why I didn't notice Weird Al's appearance when I got my other tickets a month ago.
