How are you buying Alpocalypse?

There are a ton of options this time around--and in fact, I probably missed some. How do you plan on getting Al's latest release?

I'm guessing that only completists will get the CD alone, because the CD/DVD version is available for literally less than $1 more on Amazon and probably won't cost much more than the CD in stores either. But who's going for these (super) deluxe packages? Who just doesn't want to wait for a package to arrive?

Every album since RWS I've picked up on release day at a store and listening to it immediately upon getting home...so I plan on continuing that tradition. I know that ordering from Amazon would still get it to me on June 21, and it might be a dollar or two cheaper. But there's no guarantee how early it'd arrive, and I want to be able to squeeze in (and space out) at least two extra listens that day. I'll be getting the CD/DVD of course.

And of course, this is all assuming there are no retailer-exclusive versions of album.

I'll be getting the CD/DVD release at my local Fred Meyer on release day, and immediately going to get some food and go home and enjoy the album!!!! I also plan on listening to all albums starting the 9th and listening to an album a day(in the order they were released) till the release

I'll be going to the nearest Best Buy (probably checking availability online, to be safe) and buying the CD/DVD pack on the release day.

I would've probably gone for one of the pre-order "deluxe packages" if I had the money. Even then, I'm not sure. Maybe I'll pick up some of the exclusive material off eBay in the distant future or something...

I have work the day of the release, so I went with I'm "pre-ordering the CD/DVD from another online retailer" (Amazon). I'll listen when I get home.

I pre-ordered the delux version on weirdal.com. I will listen to it probably as soon as it is delivered to my house.

I will pre-order the Super Deluxe Alpha Turbo package next paycheck, and I am anticipating an L.A. area release date signing so ill probably pick up another one in store to have immortalized.

I'm gonna go to the store and buy the deluxe CD on the release date.

And I'll get the vinyl if that happens.

I have pre-ordered both the CD and the CD/DVD versions, as well as pre-orded one of the fancy Super Deluxe Packages. I also pre-ordered a digital copy from iTunes.

If there's a vinyl release (as one of the options suggests there might be), I definitely want to buy that. I extremely highly doubt there will be, though. I will also definitely want to buy a cassette release if there is one, but I'm not sure if there will or not (my guess would be not, but who knows, considering the Indonesian cassette release of SOL).

If I happen upon a copy of the CD version in a store afterwards, I may buy it so that I have one to keep in mint condition.

I put pre-order CD from online retailer when I meant CD/DVD from online retailer. There is your +/- 3% mistake ratio..

Wow, those are a lot of options. I'll get back to you.
