World of Weird Al Yankovic

Just a head's up, the time has moved from the original 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Also to anyone who can't make it, the store (Bookends) is taking phone orders for signed copies.

Has anyone here been before? What size is the store, and how crowded do you think it will be? Apparently this store is known for it's celebrity signings.

(also who's going? I know I am!)

I'm pretty sure I'll be going. This trip will be fun to meet up with my Northeast Al buddies again before the real tour-chasing begins.

I'm thinking of taking the day off and making the trip down from the Albany area.

I'll be there of course!

It's a pretty small book store in a pretty nice town. I was there for one other book signing and they have a basement room where they have the signings, or at least the one I was at. They set up a table in front of the room, and have a few rows of seats set up in case the author speaks first. I'm pretty sure they're strict about you buying a copy of the book to gain admittance to the signing. The only thing that worries me is that they have another signing scheduled for 6:30 that night so I'm afraid Al is gonna get rushed and not have much time for anything other than quick signature and that's it. I think 2:00 would have been a better time but understand why they bumped it up since it's a weekday and a children's book.

The weather forecast for Wednesday does NOT look promising so far. It looks like that's the day for our weekly blizzard.

Yep, the weather's going to keep me from making it there. We're expecting at least a foot up here on Wednesday (after about half a foot tomorrow).

fuel pump broke this week so I’m stranded in beautiful scenic south jersey. Anyone wanna give me a ride?

Bummer. Albany and/or South Jersey is not on my way, and I'm already tight on time. So am I the only one on here still going to this one?
