I teach high school English, and in this week's lesson on writing, we covered the topic of Parody. The students were not so sure what it was, until I said, "Wierd Al." Then they all understood perfectly! The became very receptive to learning about the long tradition of parody in literature, and got quite excited to write their own parodies of "The Twelve Days of Christmas."

Thanks, Al, for keeping parody alive and making life easier for an English teacher!

She said it, not wrote it. It is pronounced the same no matter how it is spelled.
